I prefer this util over NVIDIA's cmdline utils (quite frankly, I can't understand cmdlines AT ALL "> ), and it gets the job done in a pinch. Of course, it does have its flaws (help files absent, can't actually batch compress texs like it says it can, etc.), but these are most likely from the community (this build is developed by people not necessarily working for ATI). Anyway, I think this is something that gives us mod authors something better to use for our tex replacers ">
@ leandroba: this util only compresses texs, regardless of what vid card you have (btw, you REALLY need to get a new card, say a RADEON X1300 series, or even an X800 series card - you can find 'em pretty cheap these days). You don't need a new compression format, just remember that DXT1 means no alpha channel, DXT3 is used for icons (no mips either), and DXT5 is used for normalmaps. But you probably knew that...
