The Bravil chapel attack seems to occur prematurely. I have not completed Knights of the Nine. I've only done the pilgrimage. This happened once before on a low-level character before the Anvil attack even occurred. I enter the Chapel of Mara (bravil) -- everything is normal. When I enter the living area cell, the interior morphs right in-front of me. The table breaks in half, a body appears, blood appears, etc. If I exit the room, I'll see the bodies & blood of the updated Bravil chapel attack. This event is supposed to take place after the quest 'Nature's Fury' ends.
[I realise I haven't made it clear: I'm manually installing the files]
would be grateful of someone could clarify how (where) to install the OBSE files?
and if indeed the '00' folder files are needed as well?
I'm not getting any OBSE option for tweaking dlc level requirements 'in game' - should I?
** to clarify I have xobse installed so have an idea of how things should work with it- but there are no clear instructions in the file .txt (not clear enough for me anyway) - and I've tried the various OBSE files (from folder 01) in various levels of the 'data' and 'obse' folders - and am not really sure if it's working properly or not.
I also have the '00' .esp file loaded and working too.
Someone who use the mod in current playthrough might clarify, but here are my thoughts:
The content of one of those 00 or 01 folders (so NOT the folder itself, but the plugin - with .esp extension) should land in Oblivion/Data folder, along with .ini files if exist. I don't remember using it for a long time, so unsure, but I would try using only one plugin, so either from 00 or 01 folder (OBSE version).
ok, cheers Carlos - I'll look at it again in that light.
but just to clarify:
from the '01 OBSE Level plugin' folder:
if the OBSE.esp file goes in the top level of the directory with the other .esps etc, where do the OBSE.cfg and OBSE.ini files go - if in the OSBE parent folder within the DATA folder- - at what level?
AND - given the mod's folder name is '01 OBSE Level plugin' - doesn't this suggest the esp file should go in the 'plugin' folder within the OBSE folder (parent folder in the DATA folder, after installation of OBSE in the first place) ... ?
sorry. I do get frustrated with mods on the Nexus. the authors do SUCH fantastic work, and then make them available to all and sundry foc, but too often the installation instructions are confusing - when making them absolutely clear should be trivial compared to all the other work undertaken.
Late reply but I can help. The mod is organized in what's known as a BAIN configuration. You install the contents of each numbered folder directly to Oblivion\Data in order, with '00-' containing the essential core files necessary for the mod to run with the subsequent folders generally providing optional stuff. Where you see multiple folders with the same number, they add or change the same thing and signifies you pick one.
The 'SM Plugin Refurbish Lite OBSE.esp' (.esp files are game content files referred to as 'plugins') goes into Oblivion\Data and then you will enable it in the game launcher, alongside the other plugins from this mod. The Description page lists the recommended load order:
Load Order - Unofficial Patches - Knights Infamy - SM Plugin Refurbish Lite - SM Plugin Refurbish Lite Levels OR SM Plugin Refurbish OBSE - SM Plugin Refurbish Lite Knights Infamy
Ignore the Knights Infamy plugins it's just a popular mod (unless you use it ofc). Also ignore the .cfg file, that's for a separate mod configuration menu which I'd skip if I were you. You'll be fine with the .ini which should be happy sitting in the Data directory, edit it with Notepad. This is the order your plugins should be listed in the Oblivion launcher, as it's the order the game loads them—from official game content, to unofficial patches, to mods like this. Good luck!
Hello, it would be cool to have a version that doesn't require you to install all dlcs. Like if it was a filter bash patch that applies only if you got it. Like this one: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/25946/
Quick question though: if I disable any of the DLCs will it cause issues? I just want to disable the horse armour DLC but I'm not sure if rumour dialogue will still trigger or if anything will break.
I don't feel so clever reading the installation instructions:
Extract the folder starting with 00 to your oblivion/data folder depending or XX if you want the legacy versions. (Or use the wrye bash installer)
If you want to be level gated choose one of the folders starting with 01.
I don't really understand this...I want the OBSE version of the FULL Mod because I have all the DLC's...so I choose 00 and 01, presumably? I need two ESP's for this? :/
Don't know if you already solved this, but in case it helps. If using MO2 (or similar mod managers) the installer wizard should give you a list of boxes to check when you try to install the mod. The box with "00" next to it is the core files, needed for the mod to work. keep that checked. The next is "01", if you check only one of these boxes it'll make it so you only get DLC popups when you reach a certain level. if you want this, choose the OBSE version. Next is "02", which is compatibility patches. no reason not to check this. The next is the "XX" check boxes for the Legacy version. If you don't know what the Legacy version is, you don't need to check this.
If I have this wrong, since I haven't played the game with this mod installed yet, I hope someone will correct me.
I keep getting the rumor for the KotN trigger as soon as I exit the sewers, and it seems to be only one that has that issue. I do have some mods modifying Anvil (OCR, Unique Chapels) and KotN Infamy fix, but I think I've been thorough in grabbing the appropriate patches. Any guidance? Thank you!
i have a smilar issue. I'm using the alternate start, and i get the rumor very soon ingame.
just tested with coc and a new chracter, and it's not destroyed at the start. so it seems something forces it to happen earlier before reaching 15 fame
Can you make it a. ini or LINK option to not hide the Frostcrag Spire and Deepscorn Hollow map markers when getting their quests initially? So we can travel to them like in vanilla without going there first.

Even though Idk why but I still have Dunbarrow cave active when starting a game with this mod.
If it helps, my setup mod list:
