I came here looking for a mod that allows me to get rid of exosuit and "Just thought you should know after all your play time that your starship can take off with the 'space' key" notifications so I could ACTUALLY proceed forward in story missions from one to the next. You're telling me you made a mod that gets rid of EVERY notification, therefore creating the exact same problem in a different way? Wtf.

TESTED... MOD DOESN'T WORK. I'm guessing Hello Games found a way to break the mod. Must be like a "We've been dealing with it since we started developing the game... and misery loves company, so you'll deal with it too, whether someone makes a mod, whether you like it... or not" kind of thing, since many people have said this mod or that worked to get rid of the intelligence-insulting reminders about how to press the space bar or exosuit upgrade nonsense... and it always ends up broken.

EDIT: I look at most things, admittedly, in a satirical or cynical fashion- from the start. I hadn't loaded the game yet with the all notifications version of this mod. I'm surprised that literally several people have made mods that are supposed to get rid of exosuit notifications while making sure to avoid the word "exosuit" in the title of their mod. No wonder it took 10 minutes of reddit reading and specific mod-searches in order to even find out this is an option, and Hello Games obviously made "updates" to make sure the first mods to accomplish this don't work, because they hate the community of players. With all the hype and talk in every forum and comment section surrounding the "wonderful and awesome and generous community" surrounding NMS, I have to wonder... when comparing it to the devs who set the players up for failure at almost every single turn, what wouldn't be considered wonderful and awesome and generous? I seem to have a habit of finding dead games.. or at the least, ones where the community of players care A LOT more about your experience than those who created the game. "New Frontier/Wild West Online/Mag 5" was a prime example of this. The one awesome thing about that was... I found solace in the comradery and playful banter of the people who continued to play, no matter how bad things were, and there was true freedom because there were no real safe spaces or protected classes of gamer. A-holes, griefers, and true racists roamed the game freely, never being punished for their free speech in game- which is something I never thought I'd have to wonder about until I got to seeing how leftist politics work, and has become very important to me. A liberal would say "that's because you right-wingers are racist," ignoring their own promoted policy prescriptions for the world, but the real irony is that... in such a free, open, say anything game, where nobody censors you... the racists of the game were griefed, mocked, and relentlessly tortured.. by nearly every player. In a free and open society, people hate racism, and it shows. Liberals want you not to believe your own lying eyes and ears when you clearly see racism isn't tolerated the way they pretend it is.

"Go to a water system." You mean "go to the specific system out of thousands of systems and 40 galaxies, that we want you to.." and are simply misleading people so they'll go online to the "community" you devs forced to crop up with setups like this in the first place. Like... how much of this community was made by Hello Games design to troll the player, versus naturally? How many times did they set you up to have done absolutely nothing wrong- not even miscomprehend the instructions for the next step- but STILL have to go online hunting and grinding even harder than in-game for resources... to figure out what it is that you're missing? I'm guessing enough times to force the creation of a community that- as I said- anybody would heil and promote as wonderful in comparison to what they've been dealing with. People making a mod (however badly advertised) for EXTREMELY simple quality-of-(ingame)-life improvements... clearly care more about the player than those who worked on, released, and continued to update the game. It bothers me a lot that I always end up in situations like this. I get so mad that anybody would lack so much conscience as to do this kind of crap to the player... that I'd do almost anything to save others from the same fate- which... unfortunately, is exactly what I'm essentially claiming the devs have relied on to create a "wonderful community" that will carry this game through all their screw-ups and hatred for the players.

Then we get to the YT community... where you can't learn anything about this game... because every video you see is "I've already accomplished what you came here to learn about... so watch my jumpcuts so that you'll never learn how to get there too," or "if you don't know how to use your jetpack, I've made a tutorial on 'space bar for keyboard,' and you can find that in a playlist of 100 videos I want you to watch before I'll tell you anything about what I've clearly clickbaited you into not learning about at all." It's some of the most narcissistic, manipulative, capitalist bullshit that I've ever seen, and yet... underneath all these non-tutorials are always "Thank you so much, you're a hero, you're awesome, you're the best!" comments- undoubtedly from those who have fallen for the bait to grind one person's YT channel for one piece of info harder than any in game resource, boosting their algorithm, and perpetuating the cycle of unhelpful time-wasting nonsense. I was trying to find a quick clip on the ins and outs of HAVING a freighter last night. Can't be found. Every clip- even the ones that claim they're going to be well-rounded and discuss everything you need to know... is a clip on "How to watch my other video where I teach you how to get an S-class freighter." I had an S-class freighter on day 1, inside the first few hours. It was stupid easy, and took zero hunting. Happened naturally. There are going to be those out there who don't know much of anything about the game yet, including what a freighter is or means in the game... but they shouldn't be the only ones who can find what they're looking for, even with really great search phrases, yet they are. Anybody else is either sucked into watching useless nonsense posted on YT by people who KNEW they were clickbaiting your average-joe who searches for ANYTHING in NMS, or into spending the next several "light-years" of their ACTUAL life before anything reveals itself as relevant to the next step in the process for them. The more I kept seeing "NMS is the best community ever," the more I kept thinking "but that goes against the cliched, but-true notion that 'people suck,'" because they do, and NOTHING I've seen among the wide-spread players which make up this community, is a counter-argument to that notion. I found all 16 glyphs the natural way... while being bombarded (because I had the curiosity to look, and again- because the game sets you up to have to go hunting for lore and answers to everything) with video headlines like "Do _____ the fast way in NMS!" which boil down to "The fast way is to search 40 galaxies of thousands of systems of millions of planets... for one specific building. Yeah. You know, that one. Hunting for that specific place while I make sure you don't know how to find it is the 'fast' way." It's also the way to steal any enjoyment or natural inclination to roam that I had for this game. And then clips like "The easy way" about how to spend more time landing at troll bases (but everyone in the community is just so "wonderful") than learning anything for yourself, or achieving any of your own goals," because the only accurate part of the headline is that it IS easy... to be misled, especially in this game, and by this whole setup of devs and troll players or "content" creators.

Not sure why, but it looks like a change in the recent experimental version update broke something here. This is the only mod I cannot get to work. >_<

The mod will need updating when the patch hits public.

Mhm! No worries. I just reverted to regular version and it's back to working fine. Gives me time to start a new character anyway.

Devs are: don't give a thing about player's needs.
or they just really stupid deep inside.
Since Day 1 players beg for ability to turn off right corner large mission notification and today we're have 2025.

    Did they hear players? No.
    Devs spit on this

Looks like the Worlds II update broke pretty much all mods, this one included.

Downloaded the REMOVE ALL mod, copied the PAK file and removed text file as instructed, save will not load. Mod incompatibility detected.
Edit: It has worked after using the files from the Manual download in the upper right. I had downloaded mine from the Files tab.

This is a great mod, but it has one problem that may be critical for some, and therefore I think it’s worth mentioning.
When you use the anomaly detector to search for a living frigate, the "whale song" notification ALSO DOES NOT SHOW.

That's a known limitation, explained in the description (just edited it to make it clearer).

Yes, I saw what was written in the description. Just clarified - otherwise maybe someone will think that the anomaly detector messages are not notifications.

Thank you for the update. Do you know of a way to disable the notification sound whenever the notification pulses? Or, would you be willing to push an update to mute it completely? It gets *spammed*, and hearing the notification sound every 3 seconds gets super annoying. How is this the state the game is in?

Dealing with sounds in the game is generally tedious, and a lot of their handling is hardcoded - so I don't do that.
