    Amazing work on this mod, still using it after all this time. Just always wondered if this has weirdness for people I play with who don't have the mod? Haven't tested, or experienced any issues, just curious. Or would they just be dumbfounded by the crazy fast ship flying underwater?

      GSFU doesn't actually change ship roll speed, but you can look into the mbin which GSFU modifies as the parameters should be in that file as well. Feel free to join the modding discord if you have any further questions.

    Iv noticed this when removing limits on tech inside the ship...if my maneuverability gets above 3k pulse drive has a stroke and goes all over the place...I don't know if this is because of your mod or just kind of just hard coded into the game because of certain limitations...I'm not asking to fix anything because I'm causing my own problem (because who tf would normally have 3-4k maneuverability)...I did compile it from the lua...mod works just fine in 4.48...just letting you know what iv been seeing in an "Extreme case"

    my question is there any setting that you know of that would fix it? Is there just a HARD Limit to certain stats like speed or maneuverability in the game? (this would not surprise me) I can get my ship to say 149Million units/second but It doesn't actually feel any different than say 20k...

    Thank You for the mod and Thank You if you respond...once again I removed my tech limit (I can install 5-10-20 pulsedrive or landing mods) This is  N O T  a bug report, this is troubleshooting for my own modpack(everything is in 1 pak file)/gameplay
    I also only know how to compile and Decompile using AMUMSS, I don't know how to change settings in the lua itself (I know how to get into it, I just don't know what I would change to get what I want)

      I have this same issue and yea it's a game bug. Also v annoying that the ships don't actually feel faster/

      So what does your statement mean I am new to the NMS mod community? I have used AMUMSS lua script to build mods fo4 NMS does it somehow update it with the newest patch Echoes of NMS and if so does it do that with all mods that use it? Thanks (=

      From AMUMSS's description tab:
      AMUMSS does NOT need updating to continue working when NMS updates.
             When the tool MBINCompiler.exe is updated, AMUMSS will download it automatically.

      From PAIN:
      AMUMSS is a tool that processes instruction files (in lua), applies the instructed changes to your game's vanilla files, and generates an up-to-date .pak mod file for use in-game. In addition to generating up-to-date mods, it also merges different mods when the .lua files are run together.

    Hi WinderTP, I have a question if I may but I also wanted to say a huge thank you for this mod.

    [EDIT] Never mind, I've just found a post that somebody else made about the same issue and that it's only fixable by disabling the space drift.
    That is a shame, I tend to stop a lot in space especially as a new player to look around and farm a lot of asteroids, so to then suddenly find myself zipping sideways at 50,000km/h for no apparent reason when I was completely stationary is too much for me. But just my personal preference at the moment, maybe I'll try it again another time.

    I still really adore many of the other features so I still stand by the huge Thank You :)

    My question is that I'm experiencing unexplainable drifting at huge speeds when in space.

    What I mean is, let's say I come out of the space station and I use the reverse thrust to completely stop, I can see from the space station and extremely close asteroids that my ship is completely stationary, no movement in any direction.
    I don't touch anything and yet after a few seconds, the ship will just suddenly start moving in a random direction, and will rapidly speed up until I'm hurtling in one direction at thousands of km/mph.

    I use the thrusters to eventually come to a stop, remain completely stationary and then after a few seconds I would just suddenly start going warp speed sideways again.
    I've checked and I don't have any mods that are incompatible but just to be sure I removed all of them so this is the only mod installed and it's still happening.

    Is this a bug or am I missing something obvious? I should be able to record a video if it helps.

      The reason it happens with space drift is that space drift disables (or heavily dampens) turning brakes, and the way velocity stacks up overtime just makes it accelerate if not reduced. It's more of a feature than a bug

      The main problem that I see with this is that it doesn't affect enemy ships, and I always feel soo bad in space combat, any way to deal with it?, Thanks for the mod.

    Any good links for learning about lua and AMUMSS ? Also is it possible to attain vertical flight and straffing like in SC/elite, compatible with vr ?
    Sorry for all the questions, one more, is it the ship shown in video or is it compatible with all ships ? Thanks so much for the contribution cant wait to try out mod!

      There's a link to the How to use AMUMSS page on all of my mod pages that have a lua script. No extra degrees of freedom is possible at this time. GSFU affects all player ships.

      you can, but you will be advised to use AMUMSS the moment you encounter any issues. AMUMSS is linked in both the sticky above and in the description tab.

    7/4/2023 - this update is only a "functional" update which does not add modifications for the new interceptor class. I'll prolly do it later
