Game Updates
While the game is being updated, there may be two zip files available, PUBLIC and EXPERIMENTAL for use with their respective branches on Steam. Check the version numbers to make sure you are getting the right version!
Notes on Modpacks
This modpack affects many areas of the game and, thus, many game files. It will conflict with many other mods. You can easily overwrite specific elements with other mods of your choosing. Also, you should note that, being a modpack, this will break with almost any update to the game and it will be one of the last things I can get updated since I have to update every component.
Features Included in Lite Version
Base items can more freely be placed, rotated, scaled, and coloredRemoved as of 465a, rolled into Beyond Base BuildingBase boundary extended to 2000u radius- Removed as of 445a, problems in expeditions. Add separately from gBase- Bobbleheads are now a chibi style that doesn't block the screens
- Camera centered
- Camera ranges extended dramatically
- Creatures are bigger, generally
- Save slot sorting disabled
- Galaxy map can be opened on foot from the quick menu (stand on your ship when using it to avoid falling through the ground)
- Profanity filter disabled
- Saving allowed on derelict freighters
- Automatic doors and garage doors have a built-in proximity sensor that needs no wiring
- Basic floor pieces provide hazard protection
- Parallax scrolling removed from UI menus
- Lo2K's small cursor and fast actions
- Base lights are always on, need no power
- Scanning time decreased to 0.2 second
- Scanner recharge reduced to 1 second
- Scanner range increased
- Scanner colors for known and unknown entities modified to increase clarity
- Hotspot surveying range increased
- Missing engine trails added on all ships
- Explorer engine trails centered
- Alien ships can install all normal ship tech
- Minotaur hazard protection can be installed on other exocraft
- Photon Cannon and Mining Laser can be removed
- Basic floor and ramp pieces have hazard protection
- Emergency Heaters are always on
- Emergency Heaters protect against all elements and hide storm effects
- Emergency Heater radius expanded to 25u
- Squadron members deal 5x their normal damage
- Improved drop rates for Salvaged Frigate Modules
- Improved lighting on ship landing pads for better color accuracy
- Trails added to all ship engines
- Contrails added
