Hey so I know this mod and better planet generation need to be combined to work together. I am not using better terrain or alien terrain just the main mod. I know you can merge a .pak file mod with .lua mods but both of these mods are .pak files. Are you able to combine two .pak file mods togther with AMUMSS? So to combine do I just run buildmod.bat with the two pak files in the modscript folder?
As far as I can tell you would need to use the "extra tools" in the AMUMSS download and maybe a couple other mod tools. Basically you would manually unpack ("decompile") the .pak, Decompile ("convert") the .mbin to xml files (which I think would include the .lua) merge the xml files resolving any incompatibilities, then repack the mod.

If you alter the naming to load TERRA FIRMA 2 last (and override BPG), you will mess up the BPG biome mods. If you load BPG last, you will mess up the voxelgen in TERRA FIRMA 2 due to TERRA FIRMA 2 relying on biome files to complete proper voxelgen (terrain generation).

Originally, AMUMSS couldn't detect any conflicts but I did find as you said that the terrain would work right unless loaded last. For me, the biomes still seemed to work ok or seems to from BPG but I guess I'm missing out on some things too. It's definitely not vanilla biomes.
I'll give it a go merging them via AMUMSS. Two must have mods for sure and I may as well max out their compatibility.
I guess that's what I'm confused on. So you can be on the exact same planet as someone else in multiplayer, and have two separate terrains in the exact same space of reality? Sounds like a crazy sort of duplicity. So you can be like 10 ft higher than everyone else on a mountain and what do they see when they look at you? That's what I'm really confused on
Multiplayer has nothing to do with terrain. Terrain is local. A player with the mod will see different terrain than a player without the mod, even if on the same planet. The multiplayer part is the player location. So yeah, in the case you describe, person without mod will see person with mod most likely underground or in air. Also, understand that you can remove the mod and terrain will revert to vanilla and vice versa.
I have no idea. There is a list of files modded in the readme in the download and on the DOCS tab here. If they use the same files then it will conflict.
Fantastic mod. I'm using it in combo with the sky colour mod, and every planet I land on is gorgeous. I've taken so many screenshots! The terrain variation makes things SO much more interesting, like its way more visually stunning to have a mountain surrounded by plains than just mountains everywhere (vanilla). This is a 10/10 mod for me and I will never play without it. Thank you!
I haven't been able to check yet, but there is probably a 99.999% chance it will still work without issue. If they don't cause a crash at start, should be good. Will update mod page with current compatibility ASAP.
Yes it works perfect, I only wonder, there is a grass fix mod, would that interfere with the natural spawn pak? Not sure if i would need it, but i started a new playthrough and this toxic planet i started on has this ugly grass patches like shown in the grass fix mod. If not able to work together i'll keep this mod as i love it, also love your colors mod.
Mods like this need to go viral on reddit and everywhere soo that Sean can see this! This is HUGE and HelloGames should look at your work on this mod as example, i am BLOWN AWAY by amount of quality ya put in to this!
Thanks for updating all of your mods :) I've literally been coming to refresh the Nexus update list a few times a day just waiting for these to appear. Can't play without em!

mixing it up with bpg+at for example makes planets feel like they lack cohesion and are just a mismosh of different assets
If you want to learn how to use it, go to the NMS modding Discord in the AMUMSS channel. People there can help.
If you use this mod, you will have the terrain that this mod generates. If you don't use this mod, you won't.
Also, understand that you can remove the mod and terrain will revert to vanilla and vice versa.
