Will you be updating this to include the dreadnaught, and current updates?

This one is way better than the prior one.  The prior one I kept falling through the floor and gave up.  This one I can freely explore.  Only problem is getting lost.  I just placed a flaming barrel by a stair case, so I can find it again.  Hope I don't burn down the Freighter.

Are there any non-EPIC builds around?  I just want a nice smaller functional attractive build.

I've been able to use this before, but suddenly Goatfungus's save editor stopped detecting my saves. NomNom can still read them fine, so it's not a savefile corruption or anything. I know NomNom has JSON editing capabilities, but it's not as fancy and tabbed and paginated like Goatfungus's version, so I can't figure out exactly what to replace with your code in order to use the layout.

Hmm. Goatfungus working fine for me.
Have you tried re-installing it? Also take a look in the menu at where it is looking for your saves. Might be in wrong location.
I'm barely familiar with nomnom. Does it allow you to edit your raw json save file? If so, you're looking for a part called 'persistent player bases' and the freighter base is likely to be the second one; but look for the name of your freighter, (or some obviously freighter based part names), to be sure.

I did try reinstalling it, and I made sure it was pointing to the right location. Re: NomNom, yeah, it allows editing the raw JSON, and I did find the start of the section to replace, but (on a fresh freighter) I can't figure out where that section ends.
EDIT: I just tried it again with Goatfungus's save editor and it's suddenly working again. Very odd, but definitely happy to see it.

Does anybody have suggestions how to get this to work with Eucli-ea?  As soon as I install Eucli, my game crashes on load.  This base is good enough without Eucli-ea, but if I could get that working it would bring everything to another level.

That would have been Eucli-ea needing an update; nothing to do with this mod.

Which (I have no idea if you're aware, but in case you're not, and for the benefit of v00dudaddy) it has updated at this point, as has the BuildFrame series (except for the one whose functionality has been added to the base game, WENIS or something like that - I know, they seem to have a thing for using dirty puns for the names, RecTUM, SACS, WENIS), Kibbles 'n Bits/Bytes, and Ultra Base Building (all of which combine to create a glorious example of base building content).

    Thank you.

Your save import file worked like a treat!

Is it possible to export this freighter via NMS Save Editor and post the file here?  I could always make a backup of my current freighter and its seeds and restore that afterward.  I am really not good with blender and will mess things up lol.

You should be able to post the base straight into Save Editor & forget Blender.
EDIT: I've also uploaded a direct Export of the base from Save Editor.

Since the latest update the floor layout has changed some - when I try to import the new base, the old base is just shown in Blender as a couple of doorways (one to the bridge I'm guessing) and a few grey boxes that are separated, but end up  kinda in the corridor you made to the bridge.  I'll try to make a pic.

It sounds like you need to download the latest version of the blender plugin & try again.
Or possibly that you've imported the new base over the top of the old one or something?
I've just downloaded this file myself to test & imported the notepad data straight into Blender & it loaded up just fine.
Of course, you should be able to just paste the file straight into your save file & bypass Blender altogether.

Hey thanks for the quick reply!  I loved your base, been using it quite a while now - I noticed the latest NMS update kinda screwed things up some, so I downloaded your latest - which you just happened to have posted an update today - good timing!  Love the new Base - got it working now.  As you said, and I don't know why I didn't just do this right away - I just copy and pasted the json file directly - worked a treat!  When I tried it through Blender it got scrambled - importing the base from NMS was the problem I think - I'd done a base reset first, at the Bridge of the freighter, so basically it was reset to square one - but whatever bits it had left, must have interfered with your preset.  Either way - it's working now, so thanks again for a great job! Much appreciated!

I could really use some help with this.  I am stuck at the 32 seconds mark of the video where it says "It will have you set up a presets folder"  What is the it being referred to and what are the steps I need to take to set up the preset folder to include the 14 items shown in the video?  Everything else in the video is laid out in a way that is easy to understand, but that one part I am missing.   Cheers.

I messed around with the programs and figured out the missing step.  Everything works and looks amazing,  Thanks for sharing!  Now I just need a map so I don't get lost.

      Ok.

Download the "No Mans Sky - Base Builder plugin for Blender" off of the No Man's Sky Nexus.

In Blender, select edit in the top left corner, then preferences.

In the preferences window make sure you are on the add ons tab.

In the top right corner of the add ons tab, select install. Then select the "No Mans Sky - Base Builder plugin for Blender"  zip file. (Should probably be where ever your download directory is)

After that, "Game Engine: No Man's Sky Base Builder" should be there. Check that.

      Close the preferences window.

Restart Blender. That should do it.

hello! This looks amazing, and I'd love to try it out. However, I have one question. Will this override the external appearance of my freighter if I install this mod?

No. Only the base on the inside of the freighter.
