Hey guys. I probably won't have time to update my mods anymore for the foreseeable future. If you or anyone else want to upload an updated version of this mod then feel free to do so.
Hey guys, I just wanted to make a quick post detailing how I got this mod to work with the current version (Desolation). I found this game almost unplayable without this great mod, so I wanted to share with you guys.
Prerequisites ==========
- AMUMSS - Improved Camera Lua files (Check under the Miscellaneous Files of this mod)
Extracting ========
With AMUMSS the instructions are fairly simple to follow. However I will provide a short walkthrough:
1. Extract AMUMSS somewhere. I have a mod folder outside of the game folder where I store downloaded mods, so for me that's Mods\AMUMSS\*AMUMSS stuff*.
2. Inside the AMUMSS folder are a bunch of files and folders. We are only interested in two, the ModScript folder and BUILDMOD.bat.
3. Extract the Improved Camera Lua files somewhere. Inside are two folders, ImprovedCameraLuaScripts and ImprovedCameraMain. From the ImprovedCameraMain folder, copy whichever version of Improved Camera you like and put it into the AMUMSS\ModScript folder (note that you can only use one). Next, if you want any of the optional scripts from ImprovedCameraLua\ImprovedCameraLuaScripts copy those over to AMUMSS\ModScript as well; you can use one, both, or none.
Packing =======
1. Once your lua script(s) are in the ModScript folder, run BUILDMOD.bat. AMUMSS might have trouble finding your No Man's Sky install if you have it setup in a weird place, like I do. If this happens, simply edit the NMS_FOLDER.txt file with your path to the game.
2. Next AMUMSS will attempt to update its compiler. For this, the batch script needs to connect to the internet, so you may have to open your firewall. (As a side note you can remove the 'x' from xOPT_CustomMBINCompiler.txt to skip the online updating if you wish.)
3. If you are combining multiple lua scripts into a mod, AMUMSS will ask if you want them as individual or combined. I chose combined and it seems to work okay.
4. AMUMSS will now ask about copying the mod over to the game for you, sure.
5. Then it will ask to check for conflicts, I said yes and just ignored any errors it gave me (actually they were just some warnings, nothing to be concerned with).
6. You should be done now! You can actually enjoy the game now with better controls!!
Hi guys. I was wondering if anybody could help me locate the correct file to modify values in order to move the camera inside cockpit a bit up and forward, so I can use the side window as intended...maybe you know actual mod for this.

Sadly, it didn't fix my issue where my camera zooms in and out when inside my base at certain places. Now the camera just bounces up and down slowly.
