it looks a little strange how everything is in such good quality but at the neck level where the head model starts there is a loss of uniformity/quality, as if the head/eyes/hair is not improved in any way in this mod
hi, i was using the stand-alone version of the A2 kimono mod. basically i put the pl010d.dat and pl010d.dtt in NieRAutomata/data/pl, then placed my textures in SK_Res/inject/textures
btw the stand-alone version of this mod doesnt work with other A2 mods.
is it possible to get short hair using the standalone version? equipping the wig does nothing. I've tried using the texture version to get short hair but none of them work for me
what method did you use in installing the injectable textures?
by "method", i mean are you using NAMH, did you do the dll rename method or did you use the official Special-K installer?

the long hair on stand-alone versions is actually a bug, kind of. it happened to me back when I was working on the very first version of this Pristine A2 mod.. exported A2's model with custom textures, and bam her short hair/wig stuff doesnt work anymore.
i tried to fix that "bug", but uploaded it anyway bc ive never seen anyone use the accessories with her long hair at that time (bc her wig is also an accessory)
I'm probably just overlooking something but i can't get this mod to work. I installed Special K and all other mods work just fine!
I tried using the install method you described on page 2 where you - put the .dat and .dtt into \data\pl - then i put the .dds file into NieRAutomata\SK_Res\inject\textures\NieRAutomata.exe\0_._NAMH_TEXTURES_MERGE because that's where all my other .dds files are
I also tried putting the .dds into NieRAutomata\SK_Res\inject\textures\NieRAutomata.exe because NAMH put one other mod's .dds there so i figured i'd try that. I also tried installing using NAMH with clean files but that didn't result in any changes.
In both cases i can boot up the game just fine but A2 appears as normal.
I have only tried it with P2 standalone and also the 'all in one' folder, dunno about the other ones.
i dont use any installer, including NAMH. i prefer to not use it. but i have used it with my mods before without issues, including this one.
i suggest using one of the stand-alone versions, then putting them in /data/pl. also clear up any A2 (texture/.dtt/.dat) files that could be messing things up. or any mods that are in conflict with this mod.
I tried disabling all other mods and just putting the .dat files into pl but now when i choose "start game" after loading my save it gives me "ERROR: Ran out of memory while loading pl\pl020d.dtt" and that error seems to be permanent now no matter which mods i enable or disable. qwq It seems to be coming from another mod, considering there's only 2 files with the standalone and neither are named that. though this is the only A2 mod i am using, so there shouldn't be any conflicts.
Gonna have to do a fresh install and i'll leave everything unmodded and only add pristine, gonna see what happens.
Update: did a clean reinstall and i only installed Special K, renamed SpecialK64.dll to 'dxgi.dll' and then put the .dat and .dtt files into steamapps\common\NieRAutomata\data\pl but still nothing. The game boots normally now with everything working normally but A2 appears as normal.
I'm starting to feel like i'm missing something really obvious here because i installed the limit break, i made sure no other mods or custom files are there, renamed the .dtt and .dat (i do not have the DLC) and i made sure that i'm using the standalone so i should not need the extra texture files, everything should work, i don't think there is much more that can be done to get it to work.
Wait uhh i am currently not playing as A2 (haven't played far enough) so i don't have a way of checking in gameplay and ive been looking at her model in the model viewer in the in-game archive to check for changes, is it possible that the model in there is fixed and unaffected by this mod? That could turn out to have misled me this entire time if true. Gonna keep playing and update as soon as i have access to her, i feel so bad for wasting your time if it was working this whole time fdghdfhg >> Played as A2 and she has the default look. could help with memory errors. make sure to make a back-up of the original .exe file just in case
the stand-alone versions doesnt have any requirements.
if you dont have dlc, simply replace the 'd' in "pl010d" to '0' in both .dtt and .dat files
so pl010d -> pl0100
you might be using the pl files from the non-standalone versions (optional files section).
it needs its texture files

itll be a lot easier testing mods when you 'finish' the game, as youll unlock the chapter select and debug room.
abt my mod, im not that confident that itll work on users without DLC. all i know is to change the .dtt/.dat file names
