I kid you not, I was just telling my buddy that I needed a pack brahmin of some sort, with at least 500 carry weight, while I'm playing Tale of Two Wastelands!!
I may have missed it in the description, but is this mod compatible with TTW?
Hello I just downloaded and tried this mod and I have to say great work its exactly what I was looking for the only way you could improve it is by adding a model to the milk so it doesn't give an error exclamation when dropping the item and making it so the dialogue box highlights red when you cant pass the 50 barter check otherwise 10/10 love the simplicity and lore friendliness
Been rolling with my brahmin and have been enjoying greatly. Mod works exactly as advertised and the getting jumped by bandits periodically is great. I have three suggestions for features. One is adding a patch for the JIP CCC avatar. Next would be buying different packs for the brahmin to wear? Give different perks or increase carry weight with a visible difference (i think there are different brahmin pack models that appear). Lastly for those of us using mods where you fill water bottles, maybe make a requirement of needing an empty bottle or a milk bottle to fill with milk and drink from. These are just suggestions, this mod works great!
One important thing too I think to change is to be able to toggle ambushes on and off. Not sure everyone (including myself) would want to be jumped, especially with lots of other NPC mods already including raiders roaming the roads, etc.
thanks for this. the way you trigger the dialogue unfortunately f*cks my depth buffer up until I speak with something as in enter the regular dialogue menu and exit to get depth to work again. the reshade occlusions and other depth dependent shaders get misaligned after exiting dialogue with the brahmin
I haven't played that mod but judging purely by it's description, I've gleaned the following points.
Both mod's brahmin have 500 carry weight.
Both mods have a feature where the brahmin will wait for the player outside of interiors.
In 'Pack Brahmin for Sale' you can purchase more brahmin if one dies.
In my mod, if your brahmin dies, it can not be replaced. However, just like with vanilla companions, the brahmin will be flagged essential when hardcore mode is disabled.
My mod has raider ambush encounters spread throughout the wasteland that will spawn while you have the Brahmin following you.
My mod allows you to milk your Brahmin to produce a brahmin milk consumable item every 12 hours.
My mod allows you to give your brahmin a name.
'Pack Brahmin for Sale' has a 'transponder' feature to track the brahmin's location that my mod does NOT have.
The brahmin in 'Pack Brahmin for Sale' has a functional lantern that my mod does NOT have.
I'd recommend you download them both and judge for yourself. Feedback is always welcome.
I see, thanks for being so detailed! Wasn't so sure what "attract the wrong kind of attention" meant gameplay-wise, so thanks for that. Looks like I'll just have to give it a try ;)
