    I did follow the VNV/TBoT LOD guide but if I generated the LOD manually instead of using the pre-generated LOD should I still use the VNV version?

    So... hue... what the new version we should choose if we use xLodGen with vanilla?

      vanilla? There is literally no reason to run xLODGen without other mods.

      yep, I mean vanilla with a tons of mods of course, including your great Dust Bowl, Mojave Backdrop Overhaul and Corn LOD :) 
      but no VNV. I think it's Sprayed and Neutered - Compatibility, most probably, thank you.

    Another great one DuncanWasHere! Just to verify, we'd still use the VNV version if we followed the VNV LOD guide and have many additional mods outside the guide, correct?

      Yes, as long as you aren't using other LOD resources.

      Yes. There was no reason to give each mod its own texture atlas when they're all the same.

    i assume this will work with TTW uncut wasteland? havent seen it mentioned in the comments.

      It works with everything. Uncut Wasteland is only needed to enable the jets up close so any version is fine.

    sorry but what is the difference between your mod and  Hoover Dam Jets Restored and Distant?

      Hoover Dam Jets Restored and Distant should not be used with this as it would be redundant. This mod technically supersedes that one since imposters are harder to patch for and are prone to engine bugs.

      That and the esp-less fact.

      Ehhh there is a bit more than that. There are reasons you might want to use either mod. If your game is at, or very close to vanilla (terrain wise) in the region of the Hoover Dam then this mod is the most painless way to go. If you have to regenerate LOD because of altered terrain, different models (e.g. flora), the need to patch for other mods (e.g. Functional Post Game Ending), then you may want to go with the imposter based mod. (And pray that some day IStewieAI shines his light on fixing that accursed sporadic engine bug)

      Well, terrain LOD is independent from objects, but yeah you might prefer to use HDJRAD in certain cases. That being said, this is much easier to patch for than regions if you know your way around nifskope. It's literally a matter of just copying and pasting the jet branches and BSXFlags to your generated nifs.
