Overview

The goal of this mod is NOT to be realistic. Instead, it is meant to make gunfights, especially long range gunfights, more interesting (as well as making the missile and grenade launchers actually usable). Bullets will drop over distance, and will take a moment to reach their target. At very close range, the effect is not really noticeable, but at longer ranges, you will need to compensate for it.

Smaller calibers are slower (9mm, 22LR, .45) and will be more difficult to use at long ranges as a result. Intermediate cartridges are a bit faster, and larger calibers are faster still.

If it looks like the bullet is spawning behind you or behind your gun because of the tracer, try out this mod: Bullet Tracers for better tracers

How it works

On game startup, the "Data\Config\PBB" folder will be scanned for '.ini' files and any it finds that match the template below will be read and the adjustments will be applied accordingly. Config files for the base game and all DLC as well as CaliberX and CaliberZL are already included.

INI template:
Spoiler:
Show

[Speed]
ProjectileEDID=300

[Gravity]
ProjectileEDID=1

The speed value is in meters per second. For gravity, 1 is normal, higher values result in faster drop, 0 results in no drop. Any projectile EDID that is found in a speed section will automatically have the hitscan flag removed. Neither section is required, for example: you can have projectile A listed only in the speed section, and projectile B listed only in the gravity section if you want and this would only apply those changes.
