The mod works, but the textures are missing, the tablet looks like TV static. I installed everything like you said, checked in-game if it works and it does but the textures are missing, after that I reinstalled this mod but it didn't help. Also vortex didn't say anything was interfering with this mod. I hope you can help me because this is the best pip-boy replacement in my opinion.

While it does fix the button prompts on screen problem, other interfaces got messed up, badly. And yes, I do have VUI+ as base requirement to run the other mod, Forno Vault Girl Interface.
I believe I've followed all the steps listed in the description, but I still just see the normal pip boy 2500, any tips on what I could be doing wrong?
For the handheld fixes mod (couldn't find one by Hit (or on their page), as the description suggested) the main file says it's only for the pip boy 2500, which I figured would be the pip boy in question this mod is replacing. I have both YAPR and the fixes mods installed, then this one on top, but with the pip boy 2500 mod turned off, my pip boy is invisible.
My load order for it is the pip 2500, then YAPR, then Handheld Fixes, then the tactical replacer. Is this correct? I apologize if this is a lot, I just really like your mod and wanna use it *cries*
Okay, I uninstalled PB 2500. In load order, I've got YAPR, Handheld Fixes, the INI from Handheld Fixes meant to override YAPR, and the tactical tablet. My issue now is that when attempting to use it, the hand is there, but the tactical tablet is not, and there's a white box on the left side of the screen. I've got a screenshot of it if I can figure out how to upload it here lol
Ah that bug. That's caused because the 2500 uses a different item code altogether. It doesn't use the original item code of the pipboy. When you install the 2500 it actually removes the original pipboy and replaces it with a new pipboy altogether.
To confirm this, you can try testing out a new save game and see if my mod works. If it works, then that means you can simply go back to your old save and input the item code of the original pipboy to give it to your character.

That's odd... I don't see any plugins that may potentially cause a glitch with mine, this might seem like a long stretch but try to run a new game with only my tablet mod and its dependencies, and YAPR and its dependencies enabled. That should narrow the issue down.
I turned off as many mods as I was able to. Sadly, it didn't work. Even with just the required dependencies installed/turned on, it's still the case that the hand is there, but the tablet is invisible. I'm not sure there's anything else we can try, I'm sorry :(

Opening the ESP in xedit shows that this replacer IS using the 2500 as a replacement for the pimpboy:
The easiest way to fix this is to just copy the record line for line from the pipboy over to the pimpboy:
This should fix it. It's a manual process, but super easy if you've ever opened xedit. I am assuming that the author of the mod utilized the 2500 ESP as a base and either forgot to delete the pimpboy entry, or didn't update it.
Hey dont know if you figured out the mod yet i installed the mods as instructed in the description, ran into the same issues with it not popping up what i did when i realized i didnt have it was add it to my inventory using an item browser then i equipped it using console commands it works just fine
I as well have the same issue when I enable fixes for the tablet arm is invisible or tablet isn't there at all this is new game too everything is in order doesn't make any sense what's conflicting with.
Hey. How do you go about moving your pipboy to your hand? im trying to edit a mod of mine to fix some clipping and moving it to the hand would fix clipping but i dont know how to do that or where to start.
i just want to clarify i want to get rid of the arm coming up animation to fix clipping and i showed an example in this post so you can see what i mean. so moving the model in nifskope changes the animation so it comes up from ur hand instead of the arm?
this mod is the mod im using for the pipboy it has open perms. it only opens in power armor. so the outside pipboy is untoched. however i got clipping as you see here.

what if i just wanted to remove the arm animation and have the pipboy just open it would work in my case.
I'm not entirely sure about the inner workings of animations. But if memory serves me right you can disable the arm from showing up in the Yet Another Pipboy Remover INI file.
Also, I do think Hit released an animation replacer for that mod you're using. It makes it compatible for Handheld Pipboys.

the Yet Another Pipboy Remover INI file wont work as it touches on the pipboy outside the power armor frame.
also the HIT animation only makes the UI instantly pop up
it also just makes it compatible for using handhelds but if using the vanilla pipboy alongside this the arm still raises.
specifically for the no pipboy in powerarmor i had to add the power armor frame to be considered power armor to get the holo panel to work but the arm still raises as a normal pipboy.
i also tried this mod but it doesnt work how i need it to

A bigger screen option would be great, the ratio of screen to the rest of it does seem a bit low. Also side note, if you use VUI+ it has settings which you can use to adjust the dimensions of the pip boy screen, with a little tinkering you should be able to get it to fit to this without any cutoffs. Settings are found in menus\prefabs\vui+\settings.xml.
Actually I think a simpler solution is to have a sort of FOV slider like the 2000. Adjust how close the PDA is and that should be solved. I like the screen as it is.
Agreed. I've been using the Pip-Boy 2500 for a while and it annoys me that clothing models clip and obstruct your view when you use the Pip. This one version doesn't have that bug fortunately.
