I love this mod so much; the Ghost People were my favorite additions to Dead Money, especially with their animations. Unfortunately, it seems that the animations affect everyone from the moment I start a new save, not just the PC with the trait. Character creation is difficult as the lowest you can see on the character is the forehead while they're twitching around. As soon as Doc Mitchell helps the PC up, he crouches and starts doing the animations too.
I've already edited the .json file according to the bugs page and found that nothing changes in the game. Is anyone else having this problem? I would really love to have my Ghost character actually move like a Ghost. ;w;
Yes, I haven't changed anything other than the .json file, and the animations start from the very beginning of a fresh save. I assume Doc Mitchell is only doing it after he helps the PC stand because beforehand he has his scripted animations that likely override it?
It just seems to automatically apply to every NPC and the PC even without the perk. I have the meshes folder moved out of the main mod file for now to get rid of the animations though. I just haven't fully deleted it in case there ended up being a fix that wasn't posted about yet.
Thank you for the reply, though. I understand you may be busy.
Unfortunately, the file came like that by default in the mod, but I tried it again just in case. There's still no change, entered chargen from a fresh save and the PC was already doing the animations without the trait.
Downloaded it through Vortex, and Doc Mitchell still seemed to be affected. Should I move the file into the original Ghostification folder, or do you think that wouldn't help?
Yes, sorry - delete the .jsons/AnimGroupOverride folder in the original mod. They are not needed for the misc. file's format. I'll add that to the file's description.
I absolutely love this idea for a mod, thank you for making it! Although I have an issue, if I include the AnimGroupOverride folder in my meshes, every actor in the game uses the Ghost People animations. Even if I have a character without the ghostification perk. I even uninstalled and tried running this through MO2 {Which I’ve never used before but thought I would try it} but it still had the same issue. I saw the bug report and tried altering the .json file but I didn’t have much luck on that either. Sorry I’m a little illiterate when it comes to programming, and help would be appreciated. thank you very much for reading through my comment :}
I like the mod idea, but can I do quests normally with this or it makes regular npcs hostile? Also is there a way to move faster? the ghost walk seems too damn slow.
Doesn’t make NPCs hostile, all quests can be done normally. The ghost people shambling is slow, but you can just delete the animations if you don’t like them. You can run like normal, too.
Hopefully the sprinting bug/issue with controller gets resolved
Also sometimes the walking ghost animation without controller doesn't happen but when I plug a controller in and barely push forward it does
So the only way I could get the animation to work was barley pushing a joystick forward since if I pressing completely forward with the joystick my character sprints instead of walking as it should be doing
Additionally figured out even with just mouse and keyboard the walking animation has an issue not doing the ghost people walk and just odd looking run animation when you move and I don't have any animation mods either
Delete all animations labeled "fast" in the mod files to remove running animations and use vanilla ones. Edit: As of 1.05 the "fast" animations are removed.
is possible to make a trasformation mod ? like Super Serum (Nerd Rage Perk Overhaul) https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/61683 it will be cool that we can change in in time of need like low health or night time or something like that

But you are doing those animations in the chargen menu, before having the perk? That’s a problem, big time.

I have kNVSE mod and optional JSON mod
Plus it doesn't do the walk animation
