Introduction
This completely changes all of the games Vanilla Trees into "physics" based Animations very similar to the way the Vanilla Flags are done but just applied to the trees . The main Goal I had while working on this was the trees located at and around Jacobs town, which is the tree in the image above. However I have worked on pretty much every other tree and a few plants have been  converted over to this style of Animation .

I hope this is a good contribution to your fantasy world :) .  This has no requirements and no ESP, yes its espless!  so just install in your preferred manner and you are good to go, quick and easy .

Also I believe I have fixed some base game collision issues present in the yucca and josh trees - see REF 1

Performance
I don't want to discourage people from using this, but of course as this is an augmentation to a game with a wacky engine  it will come with a performance penalty depending on your gear. I advise that you download the mod and try it out at Jacobs town and the strip.

Also its good to keep in mind that if you are experiencing issues its unlikely your hardware and more engine limitations, so try the main version and if all is good for you then Fantastic! - in small scales every asset in this mod works fine with good performance, but in areas such as Jacobs town and the strip the engine appears to struggle massively passed a certain threshold with some of my assets.

with all this said I have removed many of the mods original assets and released the "Pruned" edition of the mod until I optimize the assets for others.

or you could use

Animated Foliage for Fallout New vegas at Fallout New Vegas - mods and community (nexusmods.com)

which is a very basic foliage animation mod

alternatively you could install the basic mod above and then overwrite it with the Pruned Edition of this mod - which would restore alot of the removed content although to a lesser "quality" but nonetheless will add movement for almost no performance cost.

Pruned
This is a version of the mod with a lot of the heavy assets removed - very unlikely to be responsible for any drops in performance -

with normal version of the mod Jacobs Town and the strip could experience issues - This version removes most of those assets

Requirements
None, it works fine with the base game, but I do suggest getting some of the brilliant engine augmentations available.

Compatibility
During the development I went above and beyond to preserve the base game model, so this means any vanilla based Texture replacers should work fine and no LOD regeneration is needed.

This is a replacer, so any mod which is also a replacer of similar assets will of course be incompatible, The primary mod download covers all of the games trees, but I have left the option for you to download specific parts of mod.

I have made many mods using this method:
Spoiler:
Show

I have made another foliage mode called Animated Foliage for Fallout New vegas which uses  extremely simple Animation methods  and is significantly smaller in size and likely more performance friendly . that mod in total is about 1mb in size, this mod unpacked is roughly 200mb. I might upload a video comparison of the Two mods but personally I prefer this but its up to you.

and have not received any complaints about those ones regarding performance loss or issues, however I have not made anything to the scale of this mod. it seems myself and a few others do not experience any issues adding this mod to are games,( read "Play Testing" ) but others do, such as if you are on a Steam Deck, depending on what you have installed and your Device specifications you will have a different experience which should be self evident . I dont think anyone has made a mod similar to this so you will very much be the first people to use something like this  in FNV, so if you have any very evident issues caused by this mod then please leave a comment .

Happy Modding :)

Play testing - PC

These are not playtesters using controlled environments, it is just some relevant comments from this mods discussions page. I have included some which are positive and negative claims.

theeggman99-  who claimed to have a Toaster PC did some Play Testing -
Play Tester Comment "You were right - no performance hit that I could see...Nice job!"

KUPOkinz
Play Tester Comment "I have a 12900 3080ti 64gb and experienced no FPS drops whatsoever with this mod. Something is wrong with your GPU if you're losing half your FPS over a few leaves blowing in the wind or you aren't 4GB patched. You can literally max out Cyberpunk on a 3080ti"

sores
Play Tester Comment "This lowers my FPS from my cap of 162 to 90 outside. I have a 5950x, a 3080ti, SSD, and 64GB RAM."

Bokstavsbarn-
Play Tester Comment "This mod is absolutely fantastic, but it *can* have a performance impact, at least in heavily forested areas. I haven't done extensive testing but did notice a heavy FPS drop in Jacobstown specifically (80-90 FPS down to 30-40)."

Ayserxx
Play Tester Comment "Mod works perfectly fine and looks amazing, no performance impact on mid-range GTX 1060 6GB"

zlostnypopolnik
Play Tester Comment "Wasteland Flora Overhaul+graphics mods+quality LOD+hundreds of other mods, went to Jacobstown + Strip + everywhere else and didn't notice any FPS drop."

[b]Play Tester Comment  "My FPS on the strip drops from around 45fps to 30 on the strip with no other strip mods" "I am on a very limited setup (Steam deck) and running the game at a way higher resolution then I should be on said device so I imagine most people won't see drops that bad"
