Description
This is just a simple mod that adds a configurable hotkey to unequip/re-equip your pipboy and its glove. I know that there exists a good number of pipboy removing mods, I made this one solely for cosmetic purposes. So, if you don't need to outright remove your pipboy, but only to take it off from time to time (kind of like any normal piece of clothing), you may find this mod useful. In essence, this mod is just a simple equip/unequip command attached to a key.
The key can be configured in an ini file (‘H’ by default). One thing to mention: while the pipboy is hidden, it cannot be used. Simply re-equip it to be able to use it again. This is done to prevent a bug that occurs whenever you try to open the pipboy menu while the pipboy itself is hidden and just look at the empty arm. By the way, the mod should work with the pimp-boy as well as custom pipboys.
Installation
The following mods are required:
- xNVSE version 6.3.3 or later
- JIP LN NVSE Plugin version 57.21 or later
Activate the mod with your mod manager as usual, load order shouldn't matter. And this goes without saying, but this mod shouldn't be used with other pipboy removing mods (YAPR, Universal Pip-Boy Customization, etc.).
Known Issues
The mod is supposed to disable the pipboy key (Tab by default) when it's hidden, but for some reason this doesn't work after a save load. Just re-equip your pipboy to fix this. Hardcoded F1, F2 and F3 keys are disabled as well, so this may conflict with some tweaks from Stewie's Tweaks.
