Where exactly am I supposed to extract the files? Viva New Vegas wasn't being very clear, it just said extract the files but I'm not sure where exactly.
Extracted, created an empty folder called Fixed ESMs inside of the Mods folder, ran Installer.exe, no issues with file paths, installed... nothing in the Fixed ESMs folder. Tried again, folder still empty. Any ideas?
Hi sorry for annoying you with this.. But I have be wondering if it's possible if someone could give me some advice with trying to run the program within linux wine, I know it sound dumb but I be getting amazing fps since switching over but both esm fixes and bsa decompression don't wanna run within wine so I am asking if theres some way to get compatability perhaps letting me know what dll's of what is needed thank you
I'm using Wine 9.2 which comes with Winlator 9.0 and got the two tools to boot and they seem to do their job but the words in the apps disappear when I assume the process is finished for both apps or some time only for this tool. I have Wine Mono and every single VC redist installed also (2005 up to 2022 32&64bit versions) if this matters
right... anyway did finally manage just added required libraries under the .exe inside of mo2's force directories..btw I on arch Linux not some wine desktop since that will kind of get messing with the fact you don't have any mulitlib support
Kinda wondering, the description says pre-order crap packs are untouched but their records seem to have been injected in the new vegas ESM so they still trigger even when I disable the ESMs (albeit with missing resources)
Ok, if you are using Vortex, here is how you can actually add this to your staging folder: Create the empty folder called "Fixed ESMs" somewhere else, for example just in your downloads folder. Doesn't matter. After the installer is done filling the empty folder with the fixed ESMs, archive that entire folder, for example using 7-Zip. This archive, now called "Fixed ESMs.7z", should go into Vortex's downloads folder. Looks something like this: C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\downloads\falloutnv Now Vortex will automatically display it as a new mod and allow you to install and deploy it. Worked fine for me. Hope this helped.
Basic modding principles have been forgotten it's sad. used to be the main method until installer scripts became common. able to add a mod from a 7zip archive way back on FOMM
Dumb question, but: when it says "add folder to mod manager", what specifically does it mean? I'm usually a plug-and-play modder so i've never really had to do that with Vortex before.
Just want to mention that this did something temporary to explorer.exe I can't click on my taskbar or anything. Had to restart it. Might want to add a little installation tutorial. I extracted this somewhere outside the game folder, then launched it. It smelled where the game folder in Steam was, I ran it, then I couldn't click on my taskbar. I could ALT+TAB over to opened folders and use it normally. It was done decompressing, then it told me to remove leftover New*.bsa files. It was still on the taskbar, so I restarted explorer.exe in CTRL+ALT+DEL

Is there a reason for this?
Step 3: Click the folder button next to the profiles bar and select Open Mods folder in the MOD2 folder.
