You'd be right, except it's supposed to automatically work with that since the folder is named GIAT FAMAS.esp, which should apply the animation across every single weapon in the esp. It doesn't do anything with the json, that one's only there for Millenia's FAMAS'. I did it this way since there were way too many variants of the FAMAS and writing down the formIDs would've taken too long.
Somehow even with the latest patch, it still doesn't work with HK CAWS Millenia. It seems like it doesn't read the .json file or something, then I tried out Weapons of the Modern Millenia & Weapons of the New Millenia mod, okay the animation for the HK CAWS now works. (I enabled the knvse console log to check Anim: playing or not) All the requirement plugin are up to date, with the latest knvse 20 though so I dont understand why it won't work with HK CAWS Millenia mod.
Weird, someone else was also having problems with the standalone CAWS, but it works perfectly fine on my end. I guess that one's just fucked for some reason lmao
I don't know how much it'll help, but I checked the .json and saw it was referencing a different FormID than the standalone CAWS esp has for the weapon (B95 vs ADE). Changing that to match fixed all the issues I was having with the new animations not overriding anything. Make of that what you will.
I meant which FAMAS mod are you using, and yes, you are indeed supposed to download the main file and then either merge it with the addon file (it's named addon for a reason) or install the addon as a separate file.
Hmm can't say why is it not working then, sorry. It should work fine with both, it's just that the GIAT FAMAS has the less fancy equip and reload applied by default.
What animation are playing for the famas then? Just the vanilla ones? It not working for the GIAT FAMAS is really weird, since all the animations are included in the addon itself specifically for that, unlike Millenia's FAMAS which applies the anim via a json file, which is much more prone to a something like a minor misspelling. You could try reinstalling kNVSE I guess.
bruh I literally said that was intentional two replies ago I made it like that cuz the magazine looks backwards during the reload, and it's even more noticeable on the giat famas, you really should've clarified what you meant by "doesn't work", I thought none of the animations were playing lmao
Anyways, I'll update the addon with the flip anims and add the normal ones to the boring anims addon to prevent any confusion like this again. should've done that from the start tbh
