The item says that I have the bonus but No I dont, talkin abot the lockpick set level1
I have lockpick 45 and I need to unlock a safe of 50 needed, with the set I should have 50, right?

I'd recommend dropping the item and picking it back up. Sometimes the bonus doesn't always apply.

I like this, the only thing i would change is the weight of these items to be the same as Fallout 2. Like lockpicking set weigh being 2 instead of 1.

The weight of the items are based on their Fallout 1/2 incarnations (at least for those that existed at the time).

But they are not the same. As i said, Lockpick Set weighs 1, when it should weigh 2 because that's the weight it has in Fallout 2. Not sure if the rest of the items are accurate to the game as well. But since you said it's based on it, i supposed you were trying to replicate it.

Check the wikis. The lockpick set is 1 pound while the expanded lockpick set is 2 pounds, just like the mod.

Oh, must have confused with the expanded lockpick set then. Nevermind what i said then, thank you.

Hi very good additon, a nice touch from the past, i like it a lot. But 1 you don need YUP for this mod to work, 2 clean your files with xEdit.
I will add compatibility for TTW and NV California to my load order and if there is intrest for it I will upload it on Nexus if mod author will agree.

I suppose you're probably right about the YUP requirement. I'll look into cleaning the mod with FNVEdit.

I've added an updated file that removes the YUP requirement and cleans the dirty world edits caused by the GECK.

so i have installed the mod manually, i have 'Drop the folders from the "required files" folder into your NV "Data" directory. Then, choose one of the .esp files in "esp files" and place this in your "Data" directory' but im lost on how to Activate with my preferred launcher? correct me if im wrong but do i need to put the files in my MO2 folder?

If you're using Mod Organizer 2, all you need to do is tick the white box next to "Skill Bonus Misc. Items - Complete Edition" in the program. It should be similar in other launchers like Fallout Mod Manager.

Mod Organizer 2 can't install this.  The file structure of the Mod Manager download isn't set up for MO2 to use it as you have to select from options.  I think a FOMOD would work but that's not what this file is.   Seems like the installation needs to be done manually not matter what.

    Or am I missing something?

It's done via manual installation. I forgot to remove the option to install with mod managers when updating the files.

Ok, thanks, will do.  Like that you're bringing back something from the original Fallouts.

Does this conflict with new vegas heap replacer. I tried to disable all of my mods except bug fixers and i cant get the lockpick set to show up when i drop it. It just shows an error

An error? As in the ! for a missing mesh? Or are you receiving an error in the console?

no i tried uninstalling the heap replacer but it still doesn't show anything other than this weird large semi translucent thingy which i thing is a missing mesh warning thing kind of like the error model in gmod. I think one of my bug fixing mods might be doing something weird and it still gives a skill bonus so im going to ignore it. Sorry.

I'd recommend reinstalling the meshes from this mod just to be sure. It's possible something may have accidentally been deleted in the process.

Do these affect companions or other NPCs, should they acquire one somehow?

That's a good question, since I'm not actually sure.

This is a great little mod, though I do have one complaint about it.  The "Beginner's Books of Science Complete Edition" is absurdly rare, as is the "Beginner's Books of Science".  Throughout an entire playthrough, I've only found the lower tier version from Julie Farkas once.  I've been waiting outside the Old Mormon Fort to see how frequently she has one of these in her inventory, after 24 in-game days she finally had one, but the basic one again.  Perhaps something to look into, I've looked at the file to see who could have it spawn on them and Julie is listed as a candidate.  Unless there is a better vendor for this...

EDIT: Have done more testing, have looked all across the game.  Not only does the item not spawn on any vendors, when the item is spawned near the player it doesn't have textures.  Seems somethings messed up with it.

I'm not quite sure why the items won't appear in the vendor inventories, as it seems to happen sporadically throughout my playtesting. Sometimes they'll appear, sometimes they won't. They will, however, spawn in containers and NPC's inventories that use the same leveled lists. I'll wager a guess that it's something to do with me placing them in the vendor chests, but I'm not 100% on that. I'll likely add the items to more leveled lists to see if that alleviates the problem while I search for a long-term solution to the issue.

Also: The missing textures is probably an error on my part in the GECK; I'll look into it and release a patch when I can.

      Hey, thanks for a reply.

I did want to ask one thing, why does this mod modify the Puesta Del Sol worldspace?

No problem, I always try to respond to every comment.

Also, it's an edit from Yukichigai Unofficial Patch - YUP. I haven't touched any of the world spaces for compatibility's sake.

I was using the non YUP version, so any YUP changes should probably be removed from this mod.

Right. It's an edit done by the GECK on start up, as I have the NVSE compatible version. It's something I need to look into more to figure out the problem.

I love mods like this that bring back stuff from the past Fallout games, especially considering that New Vegas took a lot from Van Buren, and implement them in a way that makes them fit. But I personally feel that these items should be more like bobbleheads, where you can only find one in the Mojave, and you can't get them through methods of crafting. Perhaps even making them more similar to the Fallout 4 bobbleheads that give you a type of skill increase. I dunno just my opinion, but I love the idea of the mod

I'm glad to see that you love the idea of the mod.

As for placing the items in the Mojave, I'm on the fence about doing so as that would begin to cause compatibility problems with other mods.
