> DESCRIPTION

This mod's concept is based on popular "Dead Is Dead" challenge which is pretty simple in it's core.
You have limited amount of lives (1, 3, 5, 7 or 9) and every time you die you lose one life.

When you lose all your lives, this character becomes dead for good and you'll have to start over. That's it.
You'll then be shown a message with some fancy statistics about deceased character's lifetime achievements (also exported into external text file) and after that the camera will switch into flying mode so you can take some last pictures.

Playing this way drastically changes how you perceive the game and quadruplicates amount of thrills received, because one mistake can cost everything, just like in real life.

You can select separate amount of lives for different characters or exclude the ones you don't want to participate in DID challenge.

There's also an "easy mode" option to make drinking limited edition Nuka Cola bottles give you additional lives (you can drink as many as you want) and an option to make every even numbered level give you additional life, so at level 50 it'll bring you 25 additional lives. This should make dying at later stages of the game less rage-inducing.

Every time you load a game you'll be shown how many lives current character has, also you can anytime check it on Pip-Boy stats tab near you character's name and level.

This mod doesn't restrict your ability to save the game in any way, so it's suitable even for people with unstable mod setups.
However, if DID challenge is active, it does restrict your ability to load by disabling Quickload key and Load button in the pause menu unless PC is dead because otherwise it may be too tempting to load when low on HP.
Though you can still load games from the main menu so it's more of a "yes I'm sure that I want to cheat" check.

For a proper challenge I also suggest you to use some mod that makes stealth sniping less overpowered (so you actually have to participate in combat and risk your life), such as bSneakCriticalsOnlyMeleeWeapons 1 setting from Stewie's Tweaks.

Also keep in mind that this mod tracks lives/deaths ratio using character name so you shouldn't change your character's name after the mod has finished initialization or have different characters that share the same name (even if DID is disabled for them), the mod will warn & stop you from doing this.

> INSTALLATION & COMPATIBILITY

NVSE and JIP LN NVSE plugin are required, make sure to use latest versions.

To install manually simply copy the .esp file into [game folder]\Data and enable it in a launcher. Do it backwards to uninstall.

This mod doesn't touch vanilla records and does all of its changes by a script so it should be pretty compatible with anything.

To properly show/export statistics on player death, deathcam duration should be at least 5 seconds long (vanilla default), otherwise the game would attempt to load last save too early.
The mod will try to override its duration it but in some cases (e.g. Stewie's Tweaks gamesettings override) it may not work, so if you're using it make sure that fPlayerDeathReloadTime is not overridden.

Obviously incompatible with mods that do a similar thing, if there any. Should be more or less compatible with my another, similar mod Saving Reworked.

Very minor incompatibility with NPCs Sprint In Combat - if you get killed by sprinting NPC it'll show "environment" as cause instead of a name of NPC. There's no way around it, NPCs sprint attacks are not what it looks like.
