Hiya! Love this mod! Been looking for something like it for who knows how long, my some miracle i found it on "B42 Optics patches for old weapons" page.
All the rifles look amazing! Except... maybe Ave!. It kinda looks like someone dipped it in milk.
That's... actually the most accurate description lmao. Ave! is trash, All of my mods are outdated - Man I wish I knew what I know now back then. But thanks for downloading! I'm working to update all of my mods sometime this year so keep an eye out!
Hey, I love the colt mod and I really want to get this one going but none of the guns are showing up at docs, I have the Type2Error patches but I disabled the once’s having to do with this mod to see if it changed anything and it didn’t, I also don’t have any mods effecting doc.
I don't know if you're still replying to new comment but just want to say the mod is amazing, but I have this problem with the winchester 1876, where when I equip it and hold aim in first person, the part of the gun (I think it's the hammer, sorry not a gun enthusiast so I don't know what it called) block the aiming view, and it only unblock when I shot one (If I remember correctly it can fire 9 shot in my game), so I need to waste my shot first (and if lucky maybe kill someone with that guess shot) then I can comfortably aim and shoot, any tips how to fix this?
Hello! This has to do with the animation of the weapon. The vanilla animation does not cock the hammer when equipping so when you first equip and aim the hammer is down. Obviously it doesn’t make sense and you wouldn’t be able to fire with the hammer down and it obscures your vision for the first shot which is dumb but it’s an animation issue.
The 1876 is one of my top 3 favorite lever actions (the Onyx is another, and NickHeggo's incarnation of the Mare's Leg is the third. ;)
Of course, I doctor up the stats of all mod-added weaponry in my game, so my '76 is chambered in .44 Magnum, zero spread, and with a slightly increased firing rate. Using real-time weapons mods to add/remove its scope without having to invoke the Pip-Boy means that it's a "do-everything" rifle in Fiends territory. Rapid, accurate, put-'em-down shots > "spray and pray" with an SMG or LMG any day.
Welp... I feel another try at a gunslinger playthrough comin' on...
Of course, if I'm taking revolvers and repeaters into Fiend territory, well... this Marshal's gonna need a posse. Looks like Russell, Desmond, Willow, Hope, and Delilah are gonna have to strap up. Three men, three women... f*#@ it, might as well bring Niyol the dog, too.
Wow, these are some *gorgeous* models, even with just the 1k. Nice work! This together with Spice of Life & your Western Revolvers mod has reinvigorated my excitement for the gunslinger playstyle. Thank you!
Just the proportions and positioning of the weapon. You can try fixing it in nifskope by attempting to reposition the weapon. Or you can go the extra mile and make custom handgrip/idle animations with kNVSE. Though, I can’t make a fix right now and don’t plan to.
Damn, my modding skills are kinda limited to simple edits in the Geck and xEdit. I wish you could fix it, but I understand life gets ahead of us sometimes, thanks for the reply.
Yeah I wish I had more money and time to put into modding. But I have still been learning and still plan on coming back I just need the timing to be right. Thanks for using my mod though! They all have their own little flaws.
For reference I tried editing the guns in nifscope and I'm getting some snapback issues. I'm guessing (Because I can't find the block for it) the internal tube and the reloadcap snap back so there's a floating tube above the gun and the reloadcap is missing from the gun itself. No idea what I'm doing, just kinda experimenting.
Yeah if you move one piece you have to move the other pieces the exact same distance. But to do that all you gotta do is Move the rifle where you want it and then write down how much it moved. You can then move each object that same exact distance and everything will line up. Note: there’s x, y, and z coordinates. To make it easier since you can’t preview the hands, I would move the rifle to where it looks good in game and then once you find that spot move everything else to it afterwards. It’s better than moving everything over and over again everytime you boot up the game.
Yeah I found a good sweet spot of -1.5 degrees, anymore then that is excessive, I could prolly experiment further to find and even lesser degree. I'm managed to get everything but the reloadcap to go down, wonder why the reloadcap is being so darn stubborn lol. Sorry for bugging you so much but I don't know any good places to speak with experienced people on this stuff. the nexus discord is usually people asking for like...really simple solutions like "o why does my game say I need blank.esp as master" or something. I've never gotten any answers to my questions there unfortunately, but I thank you quite a bit. I've done some juryrig textures for A Cazador's Life so I wasn't accidentally shooting my cazador by accident, using the Cazador retexture mod as a base, but I can't fathom how folks manage to make such complex models with thousands of vertices and nodes and so on lol. Also comparing your guns in nifscope to others, I appreciate how precise you are, a lot of times I find the projectile node and sighting node is always off by wayyy too much. You put a lot of care into this that most folks wouldn't recognize by just downloading and using it lol.
Oh I got it finally! I was editing more than I should have, causing the different parts to be more out of line then needed. I moved the sight noding around, and changed the positioning of the 1876 rifle, perfect. Now if only I could figure out how to edit a mesh in blender so I could see what those iron sights look like lol
Sweet, Glad you found the position you like! And it’s no problem with your questions. I don’t mind teaching people how to do things on their own; it’s fun to see people get into modding even for simple edits such as this one. And the modeling aspect that you’re talking about can be frustrating but once you learn and spend time with it, it is quite relaxing to model and texture stuff. Implementing it is the tedious part, it’s a long process. it takes a lot of tinkering like your edits. I try to minimize little flaws like this one but sometimes it tends to reach a point where I edit and edit and edit and is never ending so I stop and leave it where it is lol When I return to modding I will make my mods miles better than my current ones though.
That'd be impressive considering the quality of your stuff right now! And yeah no idea where to start with editing the mesh, but I'm glad to have some grasp on Nifscope at least.
I'm talking about the magnification in iron sight. Compared to using Iron Sight in Paciencia and Medicine Stick, your weapons don't zoom like the former do, only offer the same view like when you hold the right click button when your weapon is holstered.
Ooh, yeah. I think I know what you’re talking about, I believe I took that magnification out on purpose, though it’s easy to put back if you know your way around the geck. Unfortunately I can’t do anything about it atm :/

Nothing bad they just listed it as a requirement and linked this page!

Thank you for the praise!
