This is a mod I have been thinking about doing for a while. Fallout 1 and 2 originally used both Damage Reduction as well as Damage Threshold. In Fallout 3 we got only Damage Reduction (AR), and in New Vegas we got Damage Threshold (most armors did not have AR added in). This caused most of the armors to be pretty much highly dependent on DT with pretty much none have any AR. This mod tweaks that around. AR is the primary armor stat now (how it was in FO1 and 2) with Damage Threshold added onto armors that reach a certain point (leathers, reinforced, metals, combat, power, ect...). This means that Most armors in the game will not run mostly off of AR and the ones that contain both have reduced DT values (compared to vanilla) that put them somewhere within the range of Fallout 1 and Fallout 2.

This generally means Power Armor, and its variations, is well above the other armors in the game in terms of protection (which honestly makes sense). Anyone wearing anything below combat armor should be a bit easier to take down with lower level weapons...but that also becomes true of you if you are not wearing Power Armor.

Helmets given modest DT and AR changes depending on material. Power Armor and Combat Armor helmets offer the best protection. This can be run with the Head DT multiplier mod but the structure at the moment is designed to encourage headshots especially on Powered Armored foes.

Since there are so many armors effected by these changes the most notable ones are posted in the readme...and some of those cover various sets of armors that can be generally categorized into the same label.

Special shoutout to jtgibson for deciding to take the TTW edition and create the framework necessary for the vanilla esp. Saved me a crap-ton of work.

(In)Companies:

This mod should be compatible with any mod that does not alter armor information. Mods that add armor as new entries will not be effected. If their AR and DT changes fall in line with Armor Revamped then no issue. If they don't a compability patch will be needed.

Mods that do will overwrite the changes armor value changes.

There are potentially SEVERAL mods that do this making compability patches unreasonable to create. There is a quick and simple solution to this though.

Go and download FNVEdit and then open is up. The menu should bring up a list of all installed mods. Have only this mod and the mod that alters armor values selected and click "ok". After it loads expand the Armor Revamped mod and then expand the armor category. Scan through the entries and find any highlighted RED. This means there is an overwrite or conflict. Select the red armor and a table of values should appear. You have two options. Either click and drag the Ar and Dt values from Armor Revamped into the table for the other armor mod (click accept when the warning pops up) or transfer all armor information EXCEPT  the AR and DT values from the other mod into the Armor Revamped. This will transfer the information contained in either esp onto the other. Typing it out sounds complicated but it is exceptionally easy to do trust me.
