Um this is probably already explained somewhere, but is there a command to give advance his levels or give him exp?

Open the console, click on him and type set ExperiencePoints to # where # is the number of points you want to give him.

Love the mod and companion, but I have an issue with wherein first talking to Declan, he'll say his first line, y'know, "Oh you're just the one who got shot in the head..." yadda, but then after that, he won't say any of his lines. I used to have this issue, but I would just disable the DLC version plugin (which by the way makes a clone of him that doesn't produce any lines). But now it seems he won't say any lines after you first greet him.

The clone issue is caused when you enable more than one plugin. Choose only a single one, and then make sure the voice files folder is named the same as the plugin you're using. This is all explained on the Description page.

Would you ever consider the option of him being available in DC? I'm itching to have him as a companion but have long ways to go to get to NV in my TTW playthrough.

You could always use console commands to move him to you. The introductory dialog and questions might not make sense, but you can still travel with him as normal.
      prid ##00C001
      and
      MoveTo Player
Where ## is the Mod Index of the plugin in your load order. If you do this, make sure you set his home location in DC as soon as you move him, otherwise when you fire him, he'll go back to Goodsprings.

First -his home is where i decide to be!!! And works!!! Niceee!!!!!!!
Ok, ok it may be not so big deal, but for me it's very annoying, that i want a custom home and yet all companions go to Lucky anyway. No1 make a really working home marker.
Now, i know that sneak perk is made with good intention, but auto stealth field is something i do not want. Making screens is ......
I do remove it, but wonder how many really want it.
EDIT:How it works with JICC?? Looks like JIPCC command for aggressive/passive has no effect on him?

My addendum after that one bug I posted has been solved:
In case of lacking any lines coming from Declan, make sure to rename the dialogue folder after the .esp of this mod you use.
"FNV Customizable Companion (Declan) DLC.esp" should be the one responsible for handling it if you have F:NV with DLC. If you run the game with TTW, the folder should be named with TTW instead of FNV and so on.

tl;dr name of .esp = name of voice line folder
PS. This solution was done just now.

Hey, i really like this companion mod, its literally everything i would want, i also wanted fletcher to go along with this but ehh, he couldnt equip armor given by the player, and i have no idea how to use the modders resource provided by tammer, i have a problem with the mod, i simply downloaded it with my mod launcher and after launching the game the startup loading menu just couldnt load properly, the menu wasnt popping up (Continue, new game, options, etc), i remember using this mod back on my old PC and it worked perfectly, but i think that was one of the older versions, why isnt the mod working properly?

I haven't changed anything at the core level. It's still the same mod as it always was. Most likely, something about your new setup is causing issues. There's nothing in the mod that touches menu/loading screens. Does the issue persist if you disable all other mods except this one? Also, make sure you only pick one plugin to enable. The archive comes packed with all three.

After you extract the files in the archive to your data folder, you delete the plugins that you don't need. If you only have vanilla New Vegas, delete the DLC and TTW plugins. If you have all the DLCs, delete the vanilla FNV plugin and the TTW plugin. If you're running Tale of Two Wastelands, keep the TTW plugin and delete the vanilla New Vegas and DLC plugins. Then, you load up your mod manager and enable the plugin by ticking the checkbox beside its name.

So, when giving him say a helmet, or a new hat, he seems to favor his already adorned one...because he'll wear both XD, IDK if its something on my end or with him, but its funny to see a hat poking out of a Combat Helmet Mk II.

The hat and the helmet may be occupying different body slots, meaning that one does not override the other.

In my opinion this is the most fantastic companion mod in NV ! from now on it's one of my "can't play FNV without" mod list ! the only thing that i would wanted is that declan was more aggresive and less coward because he keep hiding from the enemies.

If he's not aggressive enough for you, you can adjust his "Confidence" yourself, either in GECK or using console commands.

I have so much fun with this companion nonstop, while his behavior is generic I really like his tone of voice. Anyways this companion has it all, he has the "spotter" like perk and can repair items to 100% if players contribute to his skills.

    >first impressions: n i c e
    >only the dialogue problem; most of them don't play except the few ones [when you're interacting for the first or nth time]

    >edit: okie it's because the directory was too long for some dialogue lines to be put into lmfao

Did you install New Vegas in a custom directory with a long file path? It works perfectly fine on both of my systems.

You can try renaming the ESP to "Declan.esp" and renaming the folder "Data/sound/voice/FNV Customizable Companion (Declan).esp" to "Data/sound/voice/Declan.esp" to shorten the file path.

I did, and named it "the 8 out of 10 game that was rigged from the start", and that was also the problem in terms of why I couldn't install the mod's [ahem, companion's] sound files - because the directory was too long. So i deleted the "8 out of 10" thing, put the mod back in once more [along with recalibrating NMM a bit], and it all works just fine.

Anyways, thanks for the help. Appreciated.
