I tried it once. All the projectiles arc straight down into the ground after being fired. It would appear as though grenade-type ammunition is hard-coded to fire in an arc. I thought I could create a 40mm cartridge that fires a cloud of .22 LR like a giant shotgun shell, but I couldn't get it to work.
Yeah thought as much! Sad really, because as far as I remember canister rounds were supposedly used in Vietnam with the M79! Though to what capacity and success rate of that use was I have no idea, I'd need to look it up!
neat little gun. but there's small issue, if you make one via workbench it's always in like 85% condition, so for example I can use that 9 cap almost completely broken grenade rifle and turn it into 215 caps grenade pistol, think same applies to all your weapons which can be made with workbench not that I would want to abuse that but it would be more realistic if weapon you've crafted came in same condition
I think that's just the way the game handles it, not a conscious decision on my part. The way you make craftable items in the GECK is when you create a recipe, there is a list where you drag/drop the ingredients and another list where you drag/drop the result, and as far as I know, there's no way to make the condition of the result equal to the condition of the input, especially if you have multiple ingredients required, or if they don't have condition to begin with (i.e. crafting a bullet, the casing, powder and lead do not have condition, nor does the resulting bullet. The crafting system is not set up to handle it)
eh it's ok good mod anyways, hope to see more explosive weapons from you game sure does lacks them even with all dlc installed and using super high res rocket launcher mods doesn't feels right
I have no idea how to make those, haha! Unless... how does the flare gun from Lonesome Road work? Does it actually shoot a flare, or does it just set your target on fire? If it actually shoots a flare projectile, I might be able to adapt it for use here.
"Actually it's the only weapon mod I've ever used."
That's kinda how I feel about all of user826's mods. I rarely use weapon mods because they never feel like they belong in the game to me, but his/her mods do.
How the hell does DEVGRU use that thing IRL without breaking their wrist? Sure, the M79 has low recoil -for a grenade launcher- but it still packs more kick than one would want from a one-handed firearm!
Are you planning on eventually packing these into a compilation, a la Weapons of the New Millenia?
With so many quality, integrated installments it'd be nice having just a solid patch without having to worry about merges and what-not. Of course, I like merges too, and picking-and-choosing is also classy, so.
I wasn't planning on it, since I never thought I'd be making so much stuff, but I've been snowed in for the better part of a week, so I had nothing else to do, haha
Anyway, I figure not everyone wants all of the weapons I've made. Hell, even I don't use all of the mods I've made/released! There's no one combination that will please everyone, and I don't want to have to spend the time making 50 different versions, as that would take time away from creating new stuff. I was thinking of making one for personal use with only my favourites, but like I said, it won't please everyone even if I release it.

Genuinely curious.

Have I mentioned that I love your work?

I sure have and it's great. Actually it's the only weapon mod I've ever used.

(I'm a guy, by the way, haha)
