I would like to apologize for my long absence from this site and my mods. At first I just had some personal issues and real life stuff to deal with, keeping me away. Then there was this global pandemic which you may or may not have noticed. After that I started a new job, all of that kept me away for so long.
Now I am in the process of reinstalling all of the needed modding utilities, applications and updating to the latest version of TTW. I’m currently still using v3.2.2 but after everything is up to date my first priority will be to ensure that TTWInteriors is fully compatible with TTW v3.3.2.
I would like to thank all of you for your continued interest and support of my mods and projects. However I will not be answering any of the many PM’s stacked up during my absence, there are just to many to go through. I’ve cleared out my mailbox but feel free to send me a new PM and I will respond.
Have not heard anything but we can keep hopes up for possible updates. I dont use it but will if/when it gets an update as this was a STAPLE in my load order for everything it did, it brought so much life to TTW that other mods do but not nearly on the same scale.
Okay, so I have been playing with this mod and TTW on versions 3.3.2 and recently updated to 3.3.3b. It is not worth it! Its an amazing mod that works near perfectly at the cost of performance and crashes every so often. I started playing this with NVAC which seems to hold the game together with this mod and 3.3.x. I had no idea until I recently removed NVAC. The game will CTD before the main menu without NVAC.
Apparently NVAC isnt the way to go anymore and I can see why. With this mod installed and NVAC, my game would hit near a 1.8 - 2gb memory limit and crash even with the most recent 4gb patch. I had no clue it was these mods. I searched around and found that an old depreciated version of the 4gb patch mod existed. Its a .exe file that you run the game with instead of a patch. That seemed to fix my problems and I was able to play with this mod and 3.3.x until my game would reach about 2.8gb limit and crash. I put up with it because I would essentially have more playtime and had no clue this mod was so unstable on these versions.
Lastly, I am not 100% sure that this is the case, but it stopped when I stopped using this mod. Whenever you swap to the radio tab on your pipboy when in an interior or another worldspace that isnt DC exterior, the game will CTD. This was also really frustrating to deal with on account of accidentally clicking on the radio tab or just wanting tunes indoors or in places like point lookout or the pitt.
It seems that this mod is just not compatible with newer versions of TTW yet. Its sad because I love the new explorable interiors so much. I really hope this mod gets updated. I have since removed it from my LO on my 60 hour save and am still playing on that save. There are a few areas bugged now or missing like the megaton house interior and possibly any other places this mod touches, but I dont want to restart now. So far, its fine and playable with a few caveats. I believe that the NV parts of this mod work fine but should be installed separately until this gets updated for TTW.
Hopefully anyone who is using this mod with an up to date TTW and has these problems can be enlightened or anyone wanting to try this mod can see the stipulations for getting it working. TLDR: If you want to use this mod and newer versions of TTW, you will need NVAC and an old depreciated version of the 4gb patch to sustain memory usage. Its not worth it at the cost of radio crashes and much higher memory usage crashes.
If you plan to come back and update the mod, I would like you to abandon the BSA archives so that people update textures and models with mods. Also, if there was a fomod installation to give choice in the installation, it would be really great with an update to the latest TTW version
Managed to get it working with TTW 3.3.3b by using the older 5.4.1 Interior Combo non AWOP file (not checked the AWOP version), but with current core file, and current Mad Bomber file.
Only issue is that the Bridge in Rivet City has a misaligned door, the main entrance from the central stairway is hovering a few steps above where it's meant to be, and where the door is meant to be exposes the background graphics. Not a major deal breaker for me, as I rarely go to the Bridge and NPCs and player still move between areas freely.
Combo file causes CTD before game finishes loading. 265 mods but no enb no reshade no NVRL so not going through to see if it's another mod conflicting with this one. But this is the one that CTDs. Core files seem fine. Can't use the letter boxes as it depends on the combo file.
Was able to get it to load by going into FNVedit and just dragging all the TTW (or DLC) columns over the Interiorcombo's for every conflict under worldspace. Lots of other conflicts but I just did the worldspace ones to start. Lo and behold, game starts and my Megaton home is back - but all stashed items from half a playthrough are gone. Which is the second time this has happened to me in a TTW playthrough. Last time it was some other interior overhaul that got fked by TTW mid game. WHERE ARE THE MOD-SAFE STASHES? So I guess I'll start a new playthrough and try a new interior overhaul wtf.
Thank you again for the mod, the previous problem I had seems to have disappeared (things weren't loading, uninstalled and reinstalled, things loaded), but now there seems to be a new problem. I just recently reinstalled TTW because of needed updates and now _TTW Interiors Combo causes a CTD when opening the game. If I merge it with TTW Interior Core, the problem goes away but then my game says the _TTW Interiors Combo is missing.
Is it just due to my own stupidity or did the most recent TTW update break the mod?
I hope you're doing well and thank you again for your mod! :D
I unfortunately don't have the required experience with the GECK to even begin to determine what exactly broke inside the mod D:
my main save is still playable but without this mod i lose several skill books and all my stored caps in the inventory next to the bed in the Megaton home q.q
I don't recommend, it crashes game. Nice work but definitely need only the dc interiors or anything from fo3 converted seperately. Don't need nv stuff in here. Unfortunately farfax interiors depends on this so had to uninstall fairfax aswell.
The mod seems needlessly complex and bloated. In fact, the entire NV section should be removed, as countless mods take care of those, but none take care of the FO3 parts. The new equipment, weathers, consumables, etc., are unnecessary and cause needless mismatches and inconsistencies with other mods.
I agree, this mod would be a whole lot better if it were just a standalone port of DC Interiors, or at least came with the option of having these as individual modules or the full combo file. "Oh, what's that? You wanna play with your own player home overhaul mods? You wanna run the NV Interiors Project Addon without having half the new item placements break and refuse to load once you finally get the thing running by renaming the master files? Well screw you, have some feature creep nobody but the mod author wanted or asked for!".

Are you making progress?
