Yeah this is worse than the hunters and heros mod. Just kinda boring and dissapointing, however it is fun that it makes a reference to hunters and heros. overall maybe a 3/10
Hello everyone. I apologize for disappearing and my awful file structure; the issue is fixed. The Install from NMM will now work as intended (tested on a clean install of NV). Homer's goodbye dialogue is also fixed to no longer say "Howdy". Thank you all!
The esp should be in the data folder. NMM does not work the way the zip file was loaded. If it seemed to work for you? it may be that the esp was already in the data folder when NMM was tested. Al Chestbreach did a review and said he had to move the esp to the data folder manually to work.
I did that and still can't find how to start the mod. Aerotech office park, is where Al seemed to start it, but I find nothing there... So?
PS I found the guy..Roland. Played the mod with no other probs. other then the esp in the wrong place it works well. Good work. I hope you make more quest mods?
Yes, the file is D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\Data\Sound\Voice\DLFreedomIsntFree.esp\DLRolandVoice. Now you might notice I have my game (and GECK) installed on the D: drive. Im guessing the issue is that yours is on the C: drive? If so...I'll be honest, I'm not sure how to fix that, but I'm gonna keep looking.
EDIT: I had a friend test installing it. The voices work even on the C: drive. I suggest just reinstalling using the most recent version of the mod; the files WERE screwed up before.
Looks good. I'm not playing now, so I won't be downloading it personally, but I thought I'd let you know that if you make your file an ESM, it will fix the mismatched skin colours and any new navmeshes you've made that don't work correctly (especially after loading a save). You need FNVedit to change the file header's record flag. If you change the file extension afterwards, you'll need to change it on the names of any folders that depended on the .esp title (like for your voice files).
Hi there! I would like to give some feedback on this mod after playing it.
The writing is good. I really liked the terminal entries and the notes spread throughout the mod. They added some depth to the characters at hand. The dialogue tree was a bit messed up. There were moments where there were two options to say goodbye--one of them being the default goodbye option. I did not hear any voice acting while playing this mod. I found that weird when I checked the files and did, in fact, find voice files for the NPCs.
Speaking of voice acting, if you want to get good voice actors--preferably without having to pay--check out Casting Call. There are many voice actors on the site that are very much willing to do work for free.
Thank you very much for the feedback, and the suggestion. On the dialogue tree, I had that issue before but I thought it resolved. Im guessing its mostly with Roland? And wow...I realized what happened the second I read that. A stupid mistake...There needs to be a folder inbetween the Sound\Voice and MaleAdult01Default, called \DLFreedomIsntFree.esp\. I have updated the file.
