Interesting concept, but it would help if you explained how this is any different from "bean bag" rounds for shotguns. Ammo is either weightless or much less so than another rifle in hardcore. * How long are the targets unconscious? (A tranq should last longer than 30 seconds.) * If the idea is to "not kill", then other than as a means to loot the bodies, do you provide a means of "restraint", like the handcuffs used in the NV Bounties series? * Do the restraints include an AI package to send your "prisoner" off to a "jail" (Primm or added) or the NCR Correctional Facility so the player can collect a "bounty" or other reward for taking them alive? (If they aren't "teleported" then they can get killed by "encounters" while enroute cross-country.)
I appreciate your comment and ideas To answer your first remark, its coded in the game that knocking someone out only lasts for 30 seconds, I'm sure there's a way to change this and I'll look into it as that is an excellent idea, but of course I'll probably have it as an optional download to prevent this mod from conflicting with other mods that might change these aspects Oddly enough you cant loot bodies either as its also coded in the game to not allow you to loot them, weird I know, but I'd also like to change how that works should I ever figure it out And finally, that would be an excellent idea, perhaps I'll make another mod that adds something like that in the game I'm gonna be honest with you here, I had no idea what I was doing going into this, it was really just a copy-paste of the varmint rifle to accept some new ammunition that was based off the bean bag round. I don't know anything about scripts or even how to make custom models yet, but hopefully in the future this mod will be much more polished and include more substance. Thank you for your feedback and concepts, I'll take them into consideration going forward (I'll also update the description to explain certain things you touched on here that I didn't think to include)
Thank you Britbongle, I reached out to the author of that mod and they have allowed me to include their mod in the recommended section in the description of my mod
Honestly, I have no idea, I haven't heard anyone speak but I think this is an engine bug, not related to my mod My mod is just really simple in design, all it does is adds a new gun and new ammo that can be used to knock out enemies using the vanilla fatigue and unconscious features
