Heavy Plasma Repeater
Random bolt of inspiration/boredom/procrastination hit me so I made this weapon for my game after realising that the vanilla Plasma Caster sucks and there are no automatic Plasma Weapons in the base game. I was aiming for a heavy LMG -kinda M60ish- feel for this one. I think I got it pretty good, but I'll let ye be the judge of that. It uses the Laser RCW reload animation of you're wondering. I did as much as possible to make sure this weapon 'makes sense' in the game world, the mods go in the same places they would if they were on their original weapons, the wires and tubes go to similar locations on this weapon as they do on the vanilla plasma weapons, all the components necessary on a plasma rifle are on this weapon, and the ammo holder is consistent as well. Everything makes sense, and it just works. This weapon is added to the Plasma Spaz perk list. Don't ask about this in the comments. Just don't.

Lore
So I added a note in an ammo box next to where you can find the weapon. Essentially, it briefly outlines how this weapon was in development at the REPCONN Test Site before the bombs dropped on the 23rd of October, 2077. The designer of the weapons was stealing designs from competitors, hence he Winchester style electrodes on the muzzle. The note also outlines how the weapon's mods work. You will be required to fix the weapon using the skills you have acquired through your playthrough, this game being an RPG and all, or, you can just say 'Fuck it, that's mine now b0ss' and take it regardless, this game being an Obsidian RPG and all.

In any case, I'm afraid Doc Mitchell's house is full to the brim with weapons, poor bastard can't even get out of bed without tripping over an AK47.

Mods
So the weapon has three available mods, they are as follows:

  • High Speed Electrode - Increases fire rate
  • Recycler -     Replenishes 1 shot in every 4
  • Magnetic Accelerator - Increases projectile speed

To get your hands on them you have to to go to a workbench and craft them. For each one you'll need:

Recycler:
  • Energy Weapons Skill of 75 or Higher
  • 1 Laser RCW Recycler
  • The note found in the ammo box beside the weapon

Magnetic Accelerator:
  • Energy Weapons Skill of 80 or Higher
  • 1 Plasma Rifle Magnetic Accelerator
  • The note found in the ammo box beside the weapon

High Speed Electrode:
  • Energy Weapons Skill of 85 or Higher
  • 1 Plasma Caster Electrode
  • The note found in the ammo box beside the weapon

Location
As shown in the Images section on this mod page You can find the Heavy Plasma Repeater to the left as you approach the REPCONN Test Facility (the place with all the ghouls near Novac). Don't worry about it being overpowered for early levels, there are skill requirements to fix the weapon up after 200 years of sitting out in the rain. (Yeah it should probably have rusted to nothing by now, but you have the original developer's blueprints and also shut up do you want a Heavy Plasma Repeater or not?) Of course, you could always just pick it up and not fix it, who am I to tell you what to do. Just do take into consideration that you're going to be shooting a 200 year old, rusty, broken, highly experimental weapon that shoots super heated balls of Plasma. Don't blame me if things don't work out as planned. 

You have four options when you encounter the Plasma Repeater, you can:

  • Turn 360° and walk away.
  • Attempt to repair the weapon with your Energy Weapons Skill.
  • Attempt to repair the weapon with your Repair skill and parts from other weapons. [Plasma Caster & Laser RCW]
  • Just take it and ignore the fact that it will be shitty and explode in your hands because you are insane.

Requirements/Credits
This mod requires EVE and The Weapon Retexture Project to work properly. All meshes and textures used in this mod are either from Vanilla or one of those mods. I do not take any credit for any of the few textures actually included in this mod, they are simply recolours/minor tweaks of their counterparts from WRP or EVE to make the weapon look not retarded.
