A small island off the coast of California becomes a battleground between the Legion and the NCR.

Off the coast of California, a small island has inexplicably become the center of a heated battle between the Legion and the NCR. How did the Legion get this far west? Where did all these ghouls come from? What terrible secrets lie at the heart of the Green Isle?

None of these questions will be answered! Because this is not a story mod. Rather, this is a proof of concept for a modular quest script that turns Fallout into a partially AI-controlled game of King of the Hill.

Take the Vertibird transport east of Goodsprings to arrive at the Green Isle airport. When you first arrive, ten hills stand empty. Raise a faction flag and a high-level guard will arrive along with one or more patrols. Kill the guard and the hill can be claimed again. Be warned- wandering patrols can and will take an unclaimed hill for their own faction! You can also hit a switch near where you first arrive to instantly give the Legion and NCR control of opposite ends of the island.

A big shout-out to Nimboss for the beautiful Green Isle world space. I couldn't have asked for a better playground to give this mechanic a try. Naturally, you'll need to download the Green Isle new world space mod to use this one.

Again, this project is largely a test, so feedback is always welcome. And if you'd like to use the concept as a component for a different mod, drop me a line! The scrip is highly adaptable, by design.

Now go claim the Green Isle for the good of the NCR! Or glory of Caesar. Whatever.
