    To all:
Regarding the question of the "Hardcore" nature, when it comes to ammo supply, I made optional file. It is not making it easy to get tons of ammo, but ammo supply at that few vendors was increased and nature of the reloading was reworked. Read the Readme included in the optional file package for the details.
Personally, I think, that it is even better, than the original file and makes more sense. At least it fits, what people, heavily involved in reloading their own ammo, show on youtube videos. And it also takes into account, that to do so - you cannot be stupid and need some tools.

      Hi,
reload anim - it's slowed down to simulate little bit a recoil of such a gun and recovery from it. If you wish, solution is simple - open it in GECK and in the weapon card, change animation multiplayer to 1

Optics - it should be somewhere in the readme. These weapons are "close combat" ones, intendet to be shot from very close distance and thus with iron sights. Scope is not than "natural" for them.
OK, I am slowly working on some other weapons, if I finish scope, I will eventually make scoped version/mod.

Icon - I will check the paths, maybe there is wrong one, icon should be there. Thanks

I tried installing the mod in Vortex where it told me the mod didn't contain "instructions", so I tried it manually. No gun has been added nor ammo. Anyone knows what I'm doing wrong?

I don't use Vortex but this is easy in MO2.
There is an Optional directory and a Data directory.
If you want one of the options in the Optional directory you drag it into the Data directory (it will overwrite the .ESP there).
Right-click on the Data directory and select "Set as <Data> directory"
      Install, done.

Thanks for making the worst mod to ever be created. It doesnt work AT ALL. At least every other mod on here works except yours. I have 0 good things to say for mod.

Well, I was not here for some time, but "doesn't work at all" is really very helpful and points directly to the problem.
So pls, next time describe what you mean. And there is also possibility to send PM to the author about issues you have encountered.

The mod works for me, probably for at least some others, so without ACTIVE feedback, I cannot find / solve issues.

i love the idea of an immensly powered big game rifle but i am having an issue with the textures of the weapon. They are all crazy. thats the best way to describe it. From one angle it looks like the entire weapon is made of wood and the from another angle it is a totally different color or texture. Im trying to figure out if i placed some file in the wrong folder or what.

      Hi,
maybe you can post some pictures.
Anyway, I am not very skilled, when it comes to play of the light over 3d models and even less in the games. So this may be an issue.
Also light in FA3 is quite a pain - at one place during day you have horrible light effect over the model, during other part of the day it is perfect. What works perfectly for midnight may be disaster for noon and vice-versa.

seem to be working now after i re installed it. Maybe I placed them in the wrong folder or their was a conflict with another mod. So far it works great.

Installed the mod, searched the Nellis Array, went to every vendor in the game, no gun no ammo no nothing. Safe to say that either the mod just doesn't work, or FOMM has stopped working.

      Nevermind!
I just did some poking around in the data files and created a FOMM file. The rifle is working properly now but there are still no textures for ammo boxes, but I can live with that. Plus, I can only obtain ammo through the console commands.
Great mod, but you may want to make a FOMM or NMM ready file to help others who had my problem.

I was looking around for a good Falling-block rifle mod and was coming up a little short until I found this one. Not many people know what a Farquharson is but it was the basis that Bill Ruger designed his Model Number 1 around. I've loved the look of the Farquharson since I saw this picture in a hunting almanac about 20 years ago.

    Thank you for the mod

I think I may have run into an issue with the mod, the Icon on the pipboy does not show up, and the texture for the ammo boxes aren't there.

Great mod, love the high power single shot nature of it. My only real nag Is I wish had a scope mod, that said, its a nice change from all the assault rifle mod and I really like it.

Finally a single-shot weapon mod what adds it to the leveled list, I've been looking for a mod like this as I love the 19th century era. This is going to be one of my main weapons.

Overall, superb work. I love it. Unusual design (in a good way), and lore-friendly. However, I would suggest you toned-down the glossiness of some of the metal parts, especially the action/receiver parts.

I agree that it is too glossy and shiny overall. I do like the design of the weapon, if it had a blued texture for the metal parts & dulled worn wood would most likely make it look less fake and more like a seasoned well kept weapon, IMHO

a really nice job for a debut tho ... good presentation and packaging ... look forward to seeing more from you, good luck!

did an image search and found a gallery for your perusal --

      Hi,
the reciever and lever are so called "case hardened" - that comes out with great variety of colours, instead of blueing.
Because I am greenhorn in many fields, making a proper glosiness is completely new to me. I did some effort, but I had a problem to keep glosiness down and at the same moment, make normal map have required effect.
And of course, some parameters in .nif file may be set wrong - too high, wrong glosiness colour etc. Too many things to learn, try etc. So at one moment I decided to publish it rather than keep it for maybe 1 year longer.

Same thing are worn-effects. Even those at the barrel and few on a wood are kind of last-minute improvement, because I had learnt a lesson shortly before.

So maybe - just maybe - in future, if I am more familiar with all these things, I will play with glossiness and maybe add some dirt and scratches on the texture - yet I don't want it to be "gun from the scrapyard". I would like also it to be slightly more dirty - but my skills are my limit.

Searched the array hi, low, inside and out. Nothing. The vendors don't seem to have the gun or ammo. I'm wondering if the mod is working. If the read me had the code for the gun I could find out.

      Hi.
      1. Array: Should be at the lowest part of the interior, at the same level as unique grenade launcher. I am not expert at modding, but if you have mod re-making interiors, than there may be kind of conflict. If there were explosions, it may be thrown away. Also - weapon may fall through floor etc. - various Fallout bugs. Try to search Jacobstown's bungalows also.

      2. Vendors: Have you replaced .esp file? If you used default one, it is described to not to add anything except 2 rifles. So use the other .esp's, or even better - download second optional file and use the .esp's from there. Either vendor-only, or vendor-and-NPC. Of course, wait for vendors (Gun runner's) to restock. And keep in mind, that they don't have to have them - there is non-Zero chance. So save the evening before restocking and reload, if so.
And you also have to be at some level - as Mick's inventory is heavily bugged; Gun Runners have it as a Tier3 and higher weapon
