A couple of criticisms: the colors on Elijah's Advanced LAER look too cartoonish, and I think there's an error in the textures on a part of the magazine of Christine's CoS Sniper Rifle.
I'm not getting a green beam on Elijah's Jury-Rigged Tesla Cannon no matter where I put it in the load order. If you have the same problem, you can fix it in GECK. It seems that the mod author forgot to change the projectile to the green one, which is the "ElijahCannon" one in the dropdown list.
alright guys, if Elijah's Advanced LAER isnt shooting any projectiles, heres what you do.
First, open the GECK. Under the file tab click on Data... make sure you select FalloutNV.esm, OldWorldBlues.esm, and OWB New Weapon Textures.esm. MAKE SURE "OWB New Weapon Textures.esm" IS THE ACTIVE FILE!!! you can make it the active file by clicking on it thus selecting it then click "Set As Active File" in the bottom left.
After it loads the data, go over to weapons in the object window, click on NVDLC03 <NOT DLC03!!!>, after that find Elijah's Advanced LAER, (the editor ID is NVDLC03WeapLaerUniqueElijah) click on it to open its info, click on the "Art and Sound" tab
After that select the projectile and set it as "PulseGunProjectile" and click ok in the bottom right of that window. make sure you save it before quitting!
if you set OWB New Weapon Textures.esm as the active file then saving is as simple as clicking save!
Hopefully you guys will get this and i hope i helped!
I love the retextures, just awesome, great job. But for some reason, Elijah's Advanced LAER doesnt shoot projectiles. if you guys want to fix this problem yourself see my above comment!
The original Q-35 has also a problem when both of you and your follower are under effects of stealthfield(stealthboys, reinforced chinese suit mod). In first person(always) or in 3rd person(rarely), when you rotate cross direction of your follower, "rotating helmet" on one of the "bulbs" will appear. It seems to be connected to those green rotating ray billboards. I have no idea how to fix it...
Much thanks for the retexture! Q-35 looks far better now!
To be honest, the texture used in WME for the Tesla-Beaton is far superior to the one I created. I wish I had seen it before I worked one mine! The texture for the Q-35 Matter Modulator that I created is larger and more accurate to the original appearance of the gun, but there shouldn't be any compatibility issues. Just replace the texture in WME's "2handrifle" folder with the one from this mod, if you want. As for the three DLC weapons, there will probably be compatibility issues, due to the fact that I had to edit the data entries of the weapons themselves to alter the textures. I'll see if I can make a more compatible version.
From what I understand about modding, my files won't interfere with Arenovalis' textures, since they edit different files. I didn't see that any of these weapons were given new textures by Arenovalis, so there shouldn't be a problem. I couldn't find anything made by "Milena" though.
