Basics:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All items breakdown into and are made mainly from new universal resources that weigh 0.0001lb per 'unit' to standardise crafting.
This means you may make ammo, weapons, armor, misc items, etc from just about any other ammo, weapons, armor or misc item that is made from the materials you need.

With ammo, Steel, lead and brass are 80% recovered. Misc items have a 50% material recovery rate to encourage stockpiling of misc items for recipes that need them.

New crafting equipment can be made including:
Chemistry Set: For making chemicals like stimpaks, med-x, etc. all drugs made here instead of the campfire. Can make gunpowder, high explosives, Nitric acid, etc.
Generator: Recharges energy ammo and fission batteries from fuel. Compresses air into liquid nitrogen using fuel
Cell Charger: Portable device used to charge energy ammo from other energy ammo and fission batteries. Allows creation of advanced energy ammo types.

With gecko eggs, you can craft hatchable gecko egg weapons at the work bench.

The following items at a workbench or reloading bench will unlock most recipes:
Steel, Leather, Glass, Electronics Parts, Brass, etc


Breakdown recipes for any misc item will show up when you have that misc item. Almost any misc item can be broken down.

All recipes at the chemistry set are shown by default.

Breakdown Misc/Weapon/Armor recipes are only shown when you have the item in question.

Ammo:

Ammo recipes only show up when you have an empty case for the caliber in question.
Cases for each ammo type show up when you have brass.
Primers and cases can be broken down and crafted.

New weapons:

Restored FO3 content: Deathclaw Glove and Shishkebab.

Basic melee weapons like knifes can be crafted at the work bench as well as throwing weapons.
Upgrade Weapon recipes are only shown when you have the weapon in question.

The following weapons can be rechambered:
9mm Pistol -> 357 Magnum
9mm Submachine Gun -> 357 Magnum
10mm Pistol -> .40 S&W
10mm Submachine Gun -> .40 S&W
.44 Magnum Revolver -> .454 Casull
Assault Carbine -> 5.45x39mm
BB gun -> 177 Pellets (As there is no .177 cases, the Pellet Gun will be used to unlock .177 ammo recipes)
Grenade Launcher -> 25mm
Grenade Rifle -> 25mm
Hunting Rifle -> .303, .30-06, 7.62x39mm
Sniper Rifle -> .300 Win Mag
Varmint rifle -> 22LR
This Machine -> .30-06

The following weapons can be upgraded to mark 2:
Laser Pistol, Laser Rifle, Laser RWC, Plasma Pistol, Plasma Rifle

Flamer can be upgraded to Gas Gun and can fire new ammo types.

Tips:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gather anything that looks like it is made out of steel. Tin cans, wrenches, hammers, pots, pans, weapons, armors. The best bullets often use steel.
You can pack up, move, breakdown and even create workbenches, crafting benches and other crafting equipment.
New energy ammo types can be crafted, new energy weapons can be crafted and energy ammo can be recharged with a generator from fuel or from other charged cells with a portable cell charger.
A new gas gun can be crafted from the flamer that can shoot flame, plasma, posion, acid and liquid nitrogen.
Fire extinguishers are now a source of Salt.
Fuel can be used to compress air into Liquid Nitrogen at the generator.
