Great mod! Though I wonder, is there a mod that keeps the full price of weapons and armor if you were to buy them from a vendor? I notice that the weapons/armor that they sell arent at full CND sometimes, thus making them cheaper to buy.
Only just now checking out some of mods for this game. What interests me is the steps people take to strip every rpg element out of a game that has aged worse than the first DOOM. IMO Fallout NV falls apart without these systems (and its story.)
Sounds like cope to me. The repair system in NV is dogshit and needs to be gone.. It just a minor inconvenience that shouldn't be there in the first place
Hello, I'm posting this comment here to let you know that I am going to re-upload NRN.esp from this mod in a new vortex-installable mod, crediting you and putting the link to this mod in its description.
IDK if people still use this or are still having problems with instalation, but installing in MO2 should be manual as this allows a selection fo which ESP would be prefered.
i enjoyed this mod but I wanted to go back to normal for a survival run and i find that my weapons no longer degrade, or degrade at such an insanely slow rate that it's unnoticeable. My armor degrades as normal though, so I don't know if it's something from this mod or if something else affected it, but this was the only mod I downloaded that i know of that decreases weapon degradation. Has anyone else had this or is it probably something unrelated to this mod that I messed up? I'm terrible with this stuff so I don't even know how to check the "fDamagetoWeaponMult" to see if it's still decreased I just know things aren't breaking through observation over time...
i learned the absolute bare minimum of FNVedit in the hopes of fixing it to no avail, trying to create a plugin for the customweapondamagemult value, but no matter what it remains stuck at .01 when i'm pretty sure the default should be 1.0. This mod would be the cause tho because when I first started up the game before adding the mod in the first place, I had weapon degredation (hence me thinking i need a mod to slow it down).
So...what, am i misunderstanding things or am I just fucked???
Personally this mod has worked great for me. I also have to point out some of the comments that people have made. My take is, is it unbalanced? Yes. But it's not by a lot. You still need to level your repair skill to do many other things in the game, making it still needed. I personally find repairing tedious because I more focus on having fun the way I want to play, and not so much a focus on balance. I just want to adventure and do quests, not do all the equipment managing. I just want to have fun, balance or not. I think you should play the game however it suits you. Why have the ability to mod if you're going to say what people can/shouldn't do with how they play their game? I mod to turn my game into my own personal little paradise of fun. Do as you will. In conclusion this mod works great for how I want to play. I'm not sure why people stop on this mod page just to complain about balance when this mod obviously isn't for them to begin with.
Who cares about this crap honestly? Weapon condition system is the thing of the past anyway and was only an annoying nuisance in the past, that ruins convinience! That's why the got rid of it starting from Fallout 4 and thats why Elder Scrolls never had it to begin with!...New Vegas and Fallout 3 are the only Bethesda/Obsidian video games, which has this crap! Nobody complains about balance in Fallout 4 with the system gone, so what the heck is the problem here exactly? Have you noticed how neither of the retro isometric view Fallout games from the 90's (nor the original one, the 2nd game or even Tactics!) ever had this system! 3 and NV are literally the only two Fallout games in the franchise to ever have it! And people complain about balance?! really??!
