Might want to call it Archimedes Three, because Archimedes One is the laser used at the actual Helios One power plant (when you activate it to kill the NCR soldiers).
Sorry, i cant help the urges of correcting things :l
That's the point. you saw how effective the Archimedes One laser was at Helios right? it's still a satellite. not part of the Helios facility. What this mod does is give you a remote control to fire it, rather than the pre-programmed demonstration strikes we see in the vanilla game. At least that's the idea
he ment that Achimedes ONE is Turret that use to shoot NCR troopers not from sky BUT from above helios one station laser what u describe is just modifed Achimedes 2 with more damage and little more freedom of usage
Every time I fire the weapon, it's immediately unequipped, says my weapon condition is low and then tells me the weapon is broken. The lazer still fires and everything but then my gun is broken and I can't reequip it or repair it..
It recharges using the weapon condition, as soon as it regens the gun past a certain point it adds ammunition to your inventory. I just wanted to have an on-screen recharge meter
I like using the condition idea better. It's a "ON-SCREEN" recharge bar. Also, you have to remember it's Prewar Tech. Who knows how long the system/C-finder would have been siting around. It would make more sense if you had to repair the c-finder every few times you used it. If you leave any machinery or computer parts laying around long enough it will start to fall apart.
I use the console command that you said: player.additem xx000ade 1But whenever i try doing this with any mods they never work. Including this one. I would appreciate it if you help me out with this. I'm going to go to the place where the guy is you get the gun from but it would be GREAT if you could get back to me asap.
first up, I assume you're not literally using xx000ade right? the xx needs to be replaced with whatever the position in your load-order is, in hexadecimal. It's provided that way on the Nexus Mod Manager (and the old FOMM) for exactly this reason For me, the console command in full would be "player.additem 23000ade 1" which is the 36th active index on the list.
assuming the mod is installed correctly, that should work. If it still doesn't, then the guy should be found at a fishing shack down by the shores of lake-mead. probably under attack by lake-lurks
in the mod description it explains what you need to do Complete "That lucky old sun". doesn't matter how you go about it, but for immersion reasons, I activate the Archimedes 2 system. After a couple days, you'll come under an attack by a ghoulified prewar general (with a plasma pistol) who is also carrying the archimedes 1 controller.
He -might- use it against you, but only if you leave it too long and he runs out of ammo for his plasma pistol. If that happens, you're screwed. you WILL die. And you'll deserve it for the epic-failure of not killing him before he ran out...
Assuming you don't get found by him, you can find him near a fishing shack on the edge of lake-mead. find it by going to camp golf, get to the edge of the lake, then follow the beach north until you reach the shack there's a load of mirelurks around, but they shouldn't present much trouble.

The true strength is that it fires a shot for -every- character in range.
The overlapping blasts of say..three or four deathclaws in close proximity will kill them all.
Two targets means double the firepower.
three is triple. so on and so forth.
God help you if you fire it at a swarm of enemies....

I am sure my army of Robots (Robot certified) can take care of him and I promise not to use XRE on him ... ;-)
I wish I could use the TAR-3 on him and all but the lack of irons sights makes it difficult to use ... cough cough cough
Thank you for your modding efforts Ruadhan :-)

All you need is the C-finder or do you still need the power diversion at Helios?
Hehe...
Just remember... "There's no such thing as 'Overkill', only 'Open Fire', 'Reload', and 'Kill 'em again dammit!'"
...Know what we need? A target designator for the Divide's missile silos.
Nothing says "I want you and ALL your friends to DIE!" quite like a nuclear warhead from a Pre-Apocalypse military silo.
