I dropped the backpack on the ground and it fell through the world. This has happened on a few occassions, but I normally just reload a save. Anyone considering the mod, just be careful where you drop it as you never know if it will just disappear through the ground haha.
For those who the mod through a mod manager and have the backpacks' name as in Russian or gibberish letters...all you have to do is to: 1. Untick the "Leather backpack - rus.esp" file (through the mod manager or game launcher) 2. Leave the english version on
The reason is apparently the mod manager installs and activates both the russian and english esp versions of the mod at the same time. The Russian version overwrites the English version hence why the gibberish...
When i do that though the backpacks don't show up in Chet's shop. Have you found a workaround?
EDIT: IDK what it was I did but I just reloaded and did this and it was showing up normally and in english, whatever I did that made it not show up I have no idea but it's working now. Thanks!
Hope this helps for future modders. If disabling rus.esp make backpacks disappear. Make sure to rename "LeatherBackpack - eng.esp" to "Leather Backpack - eng.esp" I believe the mod author may have made an error when naming the english esp and including the russian esp for english version. I DO NOT recommend installing this fix as it adds english versions of leather backpacks, but some users report the unfoldable mattress does not work with the fix without manually adding the backpack through console commands.
Yeah man, it doesnt matter what I do. Change the name of the pack, installing the fix, ect, it STILL doesnt show up in Chets show and I gotta use console commands to spawn it.
There was a remastered version of this mod that worked fine but its been removed from the nexus
Don't know about you, but mine is having. But there is a problem too! His caps somehow stays at 100 whether its new game or not. And he is always has a laser pistol plasma pistol. There were a lot more than that i can tell. This mod is for sure to blame.
The new updates to the essential mods like nvse must have broke this somehow. I've noticed other old mods I have used before, now cease to work since some updates.
I'm glad I'm not the only one having this issue. I also started a melee build playthrough and noticed he wasn't carrying it yet it's in my other save files! I think rknowj may be right because I started this playthrough after updating my nvse and it doesn't appear yet I started the other one before the update that may have broke it and I have it on my character.
Can confirm it's this mod causing this issue, the same thing happens with Mick, and I assume any other trader selling the backpack. They have no caps and only sell a handful of GRA items, nothing else.
anyone else having trouble with ed-e using the backpack? giving him either the regular one or the one for companions doesn't seem to change the inventory at all. I downloaded the ed-e backpack add-on which is aesthetical only, doesn't change the inventory weight at all, I also deactivated the mod just in case it was conflicting with this one and nothing, it still doesn't work on him
