Hello, I get the following error after trying to generate Object LOD:
    http://i50.tinypic.com/91l9ir.png

Generate Terrain Meshes, and Terrain Textures work flawlessly with help of your modder's resource and I thank you for that, now I'm stuck at this problem however, because I do not have an "EditorWarnings.txt" as it tells me to look for in my New Vegas folder, or in my my New Vegas .ini folder, or anywhere whatsoever - which means I do not know which DDS file is missing exactly because it doesn't tell me in the popup window

I am also unsure of which object it refers to by "Plane01:0", but the only Airplane mesh I have put in my world doesn't have "Plane01:0" as a 3D name when I view the mesh in the GECK

Yes, alpha is lost when converting with irfanview, batch processing, shame as I did all the textures in 3 seconds.

So after finding all black lod "billboards" on some of the textures, I redid the TGA conversions all to 128x128 with paint.net one at a time to fix em, many hours it took. A few important ones I kept original size but had to resize most to fit em all in the Buildings.dds files, as BETH decided not to let the civilian GECK do a 2048x2048 buildings map, 1024x1024 best I could get on Alton, Il, mod. (it used ALOT of objects with LOD files from all the DLC's also.)

I did manage a 1024x2048 on another mod once, dunno how, but I still have that one saved.

Thanks Chuck ! You at least Got me going, without this I would not have known where to start
(been using the FO3 version for years now.)

None of the alpha channels for the .tga LOD textures are preserved.

there are some good tutorial over in the Fallout 3 GECK section on the Beth forums. I couldn't find the one I was thinking of but, I also didn't look that long. There is a guy over there named TheMagician who is the for-most expert in LOD Generation.

LOD generation is the same for both FO3 and FNV.

    Hope that helps.

I am a modding n00b, but I am trying my hand at making a totally new worldspace for NV. Initially I was completely unable to generate LOD without the GECK crashing. Luckily, I found this, and after getting the files in place, it seems my LOD is generating without problems. Thank you very much!! I wish there were better, more explanatory tutorials out there.

    Thanks for your work.

YES - EVERYTHING has to be in place, meshes and textures both .dds and .tga for LOD generation to work. This file adds a substantial amount of what's required but not everything. Anyway, thanks for the assist

Thanks chuck, makes the extremely painful process of generating the LOD a lot faster for me :]

Is it possible to just generate specific cells of terrain? I've added new terrain additions to the Wasteland, but do not want to spend 3 years generating the mesh and textures with the most awful LOD generator ever devised. Any tips?
