true but back when did these unfortunately did not grasp how to do same and at this late date not up to changing how they work. If someone wants to take it on will be happy to give OK and add them to the mod to make changes and improve it.
Oh it's easy to change. Fire up the Geck, go the model you want, and change the ammo type to recharger ammo. If you don't know it's file name, just look up the recharger rifle and use that ammo type. Save and you're done. It's as simple as it gets.
May have to edit your ini file to allow loose files??? tis the normal cause of the problems indicated above. Bunch of stuff avail on this on various mods and in the forums .. but in essense
make the following edits to your Fallout4.ini:
Under [Archive] add the following line: bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 Also under [Archive] change the value for sResourceDataDirsFinal= to blank (nothing after the equals sign).
i'll take a look and see if can find the issue if it is only that weapon then yah a file be missing ... may take a tad as need to find where stored the old file and all. and yah fallout.ini ... brain farts are a common occurance these days.
I'm not sure if you managed to resolve the issue, but I was having the same issue, so i looked at the mod files and saw that there were no meshes or textures in the mod. I just downloaded the fallout 3 mod and copied the meshes and textures over, now its working fine. Not sure if jsnider meant to not include the files but just thought I might leave this comment in case anyone else comes across invisible lasguns :)

DId quick look at V2 (15+MB file) and the meshes and textures are there in it ... has Blood nif and dds files, so if pulling this down and then the V23 should work????
my apologises, i didn't realise the nifs and dds were in V2 (15mb file), i only downloaded the V23 file, should be fine for others so long as they download both files
they are scattered here and there in the wastes ... 1st on is in the locked gas station (i think) where we all start the game, where the guy is hiding. If need exact help please PM me and will give further details and help.

Have to balance to the game they are in .. if want overkill try the bolters did with the nice exploding shells. Not to much stand up to them on auto (if can control them that is). enjoy the game and any input is always appreciated.
Actually, they're horrible in comparison to what they're shooting at. Realistically they're great weapons, just space marines and such have such powerful armor and weapons compared to them they look like flashlights
@ RurikNiall ... added new fix based on your good insight here and again thanx for taking the time to find the obvious I missed and then posting same, really appreciate the effort you put into this for me and all the other users. Kudos to you and gave yah one from me ... you deserve it.
No worries, if one's going to report a bug they ought to be as thorough as possible, I always say, "It's broken! Fix it!" doesn't really give the designers much to work with as far as tracking down the problem. They still appear to be missing a target NIF in the has scope flags, which seems to cause a CTD, that looks to be the last issue I can see with them.
Hrm, one more thing encountered, for some reason equipping a scope to the Guard pattern with the zoom set to 15.0000 causes a CTD, while setting it to 20.0000 works just fine. Tested the Chaos pattern as I saw it has the same setting in the GECK and it works fine, so no idea what's going on here. The strange thing is given that it's apparently related to the scope's zoom you would expect the crash to occur when actually entering scope mode, but merely having the gun equipped with the scope attached and the setting at 15.0000 is enough.
Now that is really weird and I can not understand especially since works for one and not the other .. i'll chance but wish could understand why it happens. I'll check the nif issue also do not get this on my game so must be something forgot or missed when packaged the last go thru. thanx again for cking this .....
I noticed a bit of a problem, when I found the Guardsman rifle I found I could only equip one mod, which I naturally did without paying it much mind, seeing a scope on my rifle I naturally assumed that was the mod I had added. Upon attempting to actually zoom, however, I found instead of going into iron sight mode I just looked down the barrel normally with a huge blocky scope obstructing all view. Upon examining the ESP in GECK (which I double checked, it is the fixed version you posted the other day) I found that while the model set for weapon mod 1 is the scoped model weapon mod 1 is actually set to be the laser focus mod, which is also the only mod shown. I checked the other problem rifle, Death's Head, to find it also has only one weapon mod available unlike the other patterns (besides Guardsman) though in its case the model and mod are both set to scope.
Further investigation reveals both the Death's Head and Guard patterns are also missing the has scope settings.
hey thanx .. dumb me how could i miss that one will fix and get up again. presume you fixed for you and it worked??? That is what happens when try to play to many games at once and miss what has to sync in one game vice another.

Well, I have run into somewhat of a block with this mod.
While I really like the design (vanilla energy weapons do nothing for me) I have a problem with the two designs I like the most: Guard and Death Head. For one I can only add the scope mod to them and always when I try to equip them after modding my game crashes. The other designs work perfectly and let me use all mods.
Another thing I noticed was that both of the problematic designs only require a 20 in Energy Weapons and also use the Laser RCW icon opposed to 25 and Laser Rifle. I re-installed the mod trice since I thought I mucked it up on some way but that changed nothing.
Have I missed something and those two designs are still WIPs or have I somehow messed up the mod?
Sorry have been out of the loop last couple of days .. 1st I have run into the issue you are having. Been like this for a while as to the scope .. so if it is something with RCW as you point out might want to try on your version using the CKit to change the weapon and see what happens. I'll ck out on my end and see what gives ... thought had done this already but could have missed. If it is that I will correct as all of these should be lasers not RCWs .... thanx for the heads up

Looked at it quickly in the CKit and the two that you mention in the upload have 'Reload J' showing vice Reload B as all the others have in the ModKit part of the record. In my version they are both Reload B there which corresponds to the other part of the record where this is marked. Might just be the disconnect there .. i'll have to retest and see if get same result as you are by changing back to J from B.
Might do that yourself and see if CTD goes away. If do not know CKit then give me some time to ck and i'll upload the fix.

I have to admit that most of the "tech-speech" went totally over my head. I have zero experience with any modding tool more complex than the StarCraft 1 map editor. So I am personally unable to see if there may be any "flaw" in the way I installed the mod.
OK .. i'll make the change and post another esp only if yah want and see if it solves your issue here. Hope to have it up this evening for yah if willing to give it a go.

EDIT: I added that 2nd part, but it didn't fix it. Seems like there's a texture/model missing for The Bloods Laser Rifle, pretty sure that's this mod?
