i don't know if you are active anymore?? but i would like to know if it would be possible to get the optional mod re-textures for the characters you did as previews as well? because i would like to see them before i install them in my game, if it's possible...
Believe me, I would if I could, but sadly I can't get the game to run anymore. Crashes after character creation. But if you choose to try out the optional textures after all, I'd be grateful if you made a few nice screenshots and uploaded them here
Huh... Have you've tried contacting steam about the issue or made a post on the fourm on the games page to see if someone can help you out? Or did you um well download it thee uhh free way ahem? And i am thinking of downloading the phyllis optional look when i can, but i am super new here so how do you upload screenshots here? O. O
Sadly there's a (known) bug that the game may stop working on any given system without warning. It's an engine level (Unity) problem that was fixed in later versions, but that would force Pathea to update their engine version, which I assume they won't at this point. I'm not currently playing the game myself, so I won't jump through the hoops necessary to get the game to run again, which may or may not require reinstalling the whole OS.
If you want to upload screenshots for a mod, all you have to do is click the "Add Media -> Add Images" button at the top of the mod page:
Late reply, but anyway: The thing is, the eye texture for most characters is on the same image file with the rest of all the textures. DLC characters like Ginger are an exception, but the file that contains her eyes (4000093_Ginger_LOD0_cap) also has the textures for her face. But if you want to replace just the eyes, it's actually fairly simple. Load the aforementioned file from my mod into any graphics editor that supports layers (Photoshop, GIMP, or even photopea), then place the image with the same name from the other mod in a layer beneath it and make sure they're perfectly on top of each other. Then erase the eye in the top layer (my mod) so that the other one becomes visible. Save the file under the same name and location and start the game. You now should have a GInger with a nice face and big eyes.
Is there a way I can view what each asset is so that I can pick and choose between these and other npc textures? And is there an easier way to find which ones are what npc?
I'm having an issue that I can't seem to fix. When using the texture for Penny, it also applies the entire texture to her guitar. Is there any way around this, or is it going to apply the texture to both her and her guitar no matter what? Also, is there any chance of getting the optional Phyllis texture without the heart? I tried to edit it out myself, but when it comes to image editing I'm just not very good lol.
I have to admit I never had Penny in my game so this didn't catch my attention. It may be possible to add the guitar texture by itself, but I'm not sure which file name Custom Textures would need for that. If you can give me a save game with Penny present, I'll see if I can fix it (if you don't know how to locate your saves, look here: https://mytimeatportia.fandom.com/wiki/Save_files )
On to the good news, while I originally placed the heart on Phyllis' texture to save some effort, I tried a little harder this time and added a repainted version without the heart as an optional file.
Well she's not supposed to be around in my game anymore, though luckily I am using a mod that keeps her around and even with the mod removed she's still there. So how should I go about sending you the save? I don't usually share or upload files, so I don't use any sort of sites where I could upload it and not really sure how to send it.
Thank you for the Phyllis texture as well, I really appreciate it. It definitely looks cleaner than what I tried lol.
Oh I also noticed you mentioned not including the default outfit for Sam because you didn't know how, and also because you didn't think it would make a difference. If you ever wanted or needed to edit her default, I managed to figure it out while experimenting. You'll of course need the texture file for the default outfit, which I just extracted the Nora_LOD0 texture from the referenced_texture3d file. You'll want to rename it to 4000067_Nora_Clothes_LOD0.png to edit the outfit, and you'll need a file named 4000067_Nora_Cap_LOD0.png to edit the hat/hair (I just copied and renamed the other file). Now I just wish I could figure out how to remove that boxing glove.
I found a save game online and installed the mod, so now I can at least confirm the texture problem. I'll see if I can do anything to fix it, and maybe add textures for Sam if there's a noticable difference, thanks for the info on that. By the way, you can remove Sam's boxing glove by simply making the relevant part of her texture transparent, though it can cause a similar effect like when zooming in on people with the camera.
If you can't find a way around it it's no big deal, though it would be nice if you can.
I must be doing something wrong when it comes to Sam's glove, because I've tried completely erasing her cap, clothes and face textures (only leaving transparency layers) and it doesn't remove the glove and doesn't seem to affect it at all. Even if I erase all three of those at once it still leaves the glove, so basically Sam turns into a floating glove lol. I even tried extracting what seems to be the texture for it, but no matter what I name it the glove never seems affected. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
Sorry for the late reply. Now that you mention it, I vaguely remember running into the same problem with the glove, no idea what's up with that. And I couldn't find out how to fix Penny's guitar either, maybe I'll check again some time, but for now it's best to either delete her file (or live with her franken-guitar).
Hi! I just wanna say I really like these textures so far :) Do you know anywhere to find high-res textures for Pinky and Scraps/Will you make any high-res textures for them? They both look a bit low-res in my game. I have seen some textures for them before - 4000069.png (Pinky) and 4000128.png (Scraps) but they don't match your level of quality nor the UI icons in-game.
I've added an optional download with improved textures for Scraps and Pinky to the download section. They're still the same size so they're not super high-res, but they still a little look better (except for Pinky's eyes that are a seperate file).
This is a very nice mod. Having said that the assets for Toby are grey toned so unless you use the file from the optional folder he is just a blue silhouette like a ghost from Fable. But going by this "Corporeal Toby - In case the standard one is too spooky for you (and yes, I really don't like him). [4000005.png]" I assume it's intentional for some reason? I don't really follow the logic there if it is. It's a pretty drastic change compared to the rest of the mod.
It's absolutely intentional and based solely on the fact that I find the kid so repulsive that I prefer him to be dead. But because some people may not share that sentiment, I included the not-dead (normal), upscaled version.
That explains a lot. I am a new player and let me tell you, creator, you got me good. It startled me quite a bit to see a ghost boy at night. Thank you for this mod though and for including a normal version of the kid.
I really liked this mod, I'm downloading now for testing, can you try to upscale the main character too? and If you can upscale the remain characters and things like GUST DLC HAIR including = ( The pets, horses, Ack, or nameless NPCs such as random tourists. ) ??
Love this mod! Unfortunately the only bad thing is that these NPC's now make my character look so ugly lol. Wish I could have these textures for created characters but probably not possible.
The textures for the player character can actually be improved in a similar way, although it's a bit more complicated. But you don't see yourself in detail that often, so I didn't bother

With credit/permission to the original creator ofc.
I tried to install above but it wants to overwrite a file which includes more details then just her eyes.
