I've actually made a couple of versions of this that are different, for myself. I might release them at some point, as an addon or something, its not really a full update though, so I dont know.
I actually no longer use windows.tex and windows_n.tex though, because they were responsible for creating that fake annoying intense reflection on the window that sort of blinds you when driving.
If you have a version of this mod with 15% looking tint on sides and light tint on windshield like 50% or 35% let me know I would love one like that thanks for replying btw
hi, why not implement this via Texture Pack Importer? now i can make it, but its work incorrectly ;( i can't use VehicleTextureSwap because it's not compatible with TexturePackLoader :(
I am actually using TexturePackLoader myself for this too. VehicleTextureSwap can actually work with TexturePackLoader, even though it says its compatible, but TPL will override some of its swapped textures if the box to "load last after all other mods" is checked.
Anyway, I do not know anything about Texture Pack Importer, as I havent used it. But I can tell you this: Since you are using Texture Pack Loader, just put my textures inside the folder that you load with TPL. The downside of that is that it will load these windows texture files for ALL vehicles that use them. The advantage of it though is that more vehicles will be affected with these changed textures, i.e. the Tangerine Pickup vehicle will have my textures now.
In short, you have to choose: Do you want to use Texture Pack Loader and universally change windows textures for all vehicles that use them? Or do you want to change textures for specific vehicles? If you want specific vehicles only, and have the freedom to use different textures for them, then Vehicle Texture Swap is your easy clear choice.
VTS can work with TPL, I know because I have used them together, I just stopped using VTS because I wanted to A. reduce the number of active mods I have, and B. get rid of the annoying message in the console saying its not compatible.
Unfortunately, I cannot solve the above difficulties, because I do not have anything to do with those mods, you'll have to consult with their authors.
TL;DR; Just use TexturePackLoader, drop the files in the folder you're loading as they are.
P.S. It is possible that Texture Pack Importer might require flipped textures, in which case you will have to flip my textures and then import them with TPI, but I am just guessing here, I havent used it. Consult withe TPI's mod author, see how it works.
Go to Vehicle Texture Swap mod and follow the instructions there. It will tell you exactly how to do this.
My files need to be inside the Satsuma folder from Vehicle Texture Swap. They should be on their own without any subfolders.
So the end result should be this: \Images\VehicleTextureSwap\Satsuma\windows.tex \Images\VehicleTextureSwap\Satsuma\windows_n.tex \Images\VehicleTextureSwap\Satsuma\windows_pbr_rain.tex
