I created a Discord for my mods, I'd be happy to assist you there. You can discuss, report bugs, suggest changes or new mods for me to create, and more.
I'm not sure, but I am working with older game versions for a different mod of mine so I'll be investigating this. Typically if there isn't changes to the basic way a method works, yeah it'll stay compatible because this mod is only interacting with a couple game methods and is minimally using the variables from vanilla to do what it needs to do.
Hi, I'm currently playing campaign and using a custom made two handed polearm glaive with cut damage around 140. I'm getting blocked by peasant hammers and weapons like nothing and even against one handed swords. I do have Skill Level Magnitude option turned on. Does this option just take my two handed polearm skill number and weigh it against their current weapons(one handed weapon)?
Can't wait until you go into details on the weapon type: onehanded axe, twohanded axe, etc.
EDIT: after leveling up more on the polearm I can now effectively crush through and give damage to the enemy.
I'll update soon for weapon type advantages against other types & try to make this more weighted in the skill magnitudes. That will have to be another day, as I'm pretty busy this week.
I was wrong, maybe Experi Mental Penskir Basse Modifiye didn't implement it.Every time I use it, the game crashes when attacking with my fists.Attacking with a weapon does not crash the game.
If I understand correctly, it works okay without the experimental option in the settings turned on, but it crashes with fist attacks only? And otherwise does it work and not crash, or are there instances where it does not crash but also does not work?
it works okay without the experimental option in the settings turned on Including fist works okay the experimental option in the settings turned on,NPCs using fist attacks will crash the game.
If I'm okay with the report, opening the experimental settings results in 2 dll files being missing. I'm sure the dll file is unlocked. So i don't think there is a conflict with useful alternative attacks. I turned useful alternative attacks off, tested it , and with or without useful alternative attacks, the game crashes when an NPC tries to attack you with a fist. Hope it helps
Unfortunately there is an incompatibility with RBM Combat module. So even if it doesn't crash it just doesn't work together with it. I'll get a fix out when I have time.
Well, I think RBM only hits through parries if the posture was fully drained. This doesn't have that requirement, and is more based on the weapon types being used. It should be compatible with RBM as well.
just know that RBM don't mind taking ideas from other people and not acknowledging so. Also, RBM don't care about your feedback. There are so many things wrong with RBM.
Yeah its great, I tested it with RBM. The adjustment works well, and the weapon configuration is amazing and simple enough to use.
As for you @bestmod168, I see you join this comment too. "RBM don't care about your feedback"? When does that have to do with anything? "... taking ideas from other people" I hope you don't include yourself in that area. All you did was make videos and terrible decisions on the modding discord and get a ban - you can keep all your stuff. I see those vids, you encourage people to make something similar, but wow did your discord interaction suggests otherwise.
People have had RBM ideas for a long time since Warband - that's why Sparta and Renaissance was made and the dozens of mods the guy uses and credited. Ideas don't mean anything in the BL modding community from a historical simulator where authors went and go - its the code, credits and the citations that matters, not ideas about actual mechanics and historical tactics/knowledge. What, did you think you have the first idea to make pike and shot, or kneeling fire, or even a damn phalanx? Oh wait, I think I know, is it the shoulder shield? And did Phil and the guys really steal anyone's 'so-called' trademark ideas that wasn't there? You know how to open their code, show me. Hell, the damn thing is on a Github publically!
Look at what another modder, Order, can achieve compared to your bracing phalanx that does, what, super high damage to offset for the momentum in your video to get it to kill all those units in a custom battle? No thanks bud, and I hope you never speak to me again. You are the last modder I need to hear from, well, maybe third last.
Oh and you are also caught stealing assets as well and featured them in your videos, so please don't talk to me about copyrights and ideas.
You should stick to making videos. RBM may not have the most comprehensive codes, but at least it is far better than what Taleworld or you can scrounge up. You make great weapon mods and videos, so you have my respect as a modder and a content creator, but just that.
bestmods168 : Since this isn't really my mod idea, and the original has all permissions open for anyone to do as they like with it, there wouldn't be much I could get upset about if that did happen. My code is different enough that nexus may side with me, but I doubt it would come to that, anyways. RBM dev seems great, I just happen not to use the mod. Regardless, I'd appreciate if drama I'm not involved with wouldn't spill over into my mod pages. That's just rude.
Dantelian12 : Glad to hear that it's working with RBM! I have a real thing about keeping my mods as compatible with as many mods as possible, since I know the frustration when a small mod conflicts with a large, well-known one. Let me know if you find any weirdness. About the other guy, I'll ask the same thing to you as to him. This seems like something that you two should hash out in private, I have 0 ducks in that race and really prefer not to get drawn in.
kind of a niche bug, but if you disarm your opponent using rbm mechanics, and then you try to parry the unarmed punch they throw at you, the game throws an exception, citing partialparry as the reason
also i can't file a bug report either so this is the only way to report bugs xd
If you can get me the crash log by doing "click here to show butterlib exception" and upload as permalink, I'd be happy to look into it for you :) I don't use RBM but I'd prefer to keep it compatible for fans of it.

Also viewers are not allowed to post in bug reports, so i cant post this there
iam having the same problem. Iam using the Fourberie mod and whenever i start a brawl in a tavern and my unarmed strike is blocked/parried the game crashes with "partial parry" cited as the offending module. this happens with and without rbm.
also great mod!! exactly what i have been looking for. always annoyed me that some peasant could completely block even the heaviest of attacks with a rusty kitchen knife.
I have my suspicions what is causing it. It would be helpful to have a tester in my discord, but otherwise I should be able to get a fix out in a day or two.
EDIT: Nevermind, it was easy enough to find using Fourberie. Uploading the fix shortly.

At the moment the 1h hammer will still react essentially like any other 1h weapon. So, if you are blocking with a 1h hammer against a 2h weapon then that 2h will crush through with more damage. At the same time, attacking with a 1h hammer against a 2h weapon will crush through with less damage. I'll be adding a more intelligent system soon that checks the exact types of the weapons involved and will react accordingly, because a 1h hammer should probably act more like a dagger when parrying, and more like an axe when attacking.

- Fixed a crash when parrying as or against a character with a weapon not tied to a skill.
v1.0.2:
- Fixed a crash when either entity in combat used unarmed attacks while using the RBM combat module or similar modules.
v1.0.3:
- Fixed an issue causing soft incompatibility with RBM combat module.
For Bannerlord 1.2.*Hmmm maybe i should try and feed back :)
In short... maybe! :)

Would be awesome to use something like partial block (can't stand my unstoppable juggernaut getting blocked all the time)

I am not a fan of bestmods and his history, but this is terrible and illogical place to put this down.

Also, let's talk in the bug report I created.
