About this mod

Age of Migration is a kingdom and unit overhaul for Bannerlord. It uses RBM, OSA and ATC as requirements and features an 'irregular/regular' recruitment system similar to other existing mods.
The units focus on a 'total war' kind of design. Units fill specific roles like being a dedicated spearman. Armour is rare and matters.

Age of Migration refers to the migration of nords and vlandians in calradia.
It aims to create calradia in a more historical sense regarding army compositions and unit visuals with an eye on the 11th century +/-200 years.
The native timeframe of armour/units in general is huge in comparison. Some unhistorical decisions may be taken to guarantee progression, to respect the lore or other reasons.

Troop trees are split into irregular, regular and elite units.
Irregular units make up 50% of the recruitment. Ranged units make up 25% and regular units 25%.
Elite units are rare and require notables with a power of ~300. All this can be modified in the build in ATC settings.

Units of all kingdoms are replaced including militia/caravan guards/peasants/most townfolk/mercenaries/lords.
The mod is still WIP and not all townsfolk is replaced. Minor faction units and bandits are replaced too but still kind of a placeholder.

Armour is designed to matter and is reserved for higher tier regular or elite units.
T1-3 = clothes/helmets
T4 = padded armor
T5 = Mail or Lamellar

All factions are limited to 3 T5 regular units.
Elite and mercenaries usually have the best armour/weapons.
Spears and ranged weapons are deadly because of this system.

90% of weapons used by the units are crafted with native and OSA parts to use matching textures and to create realistic looking weapons.
Units are generally made with an eye on matching textures (mail) to be visually pleasing.
Individual units might lack variety to guarantee a clean look, the focus is on making the overall army look good.


Armour values/unit stats/troop tree layouts and other things are all controlled to reach a decent level of balancing which will be polished in time.

The 'Kingdom of Nords' is a new kingdom introduced in the northern parts of Calradia.
