* * FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS * *
IF YOU ASK ME THESE QUESTIONS IN THE COMMENTS, I WILL NOT RESPOND.
Q: Will this mod be coming to Steam Workshop? A: No.
Q: Does this work for version x.y.z? A: I don't know. Try it out and see if it does. If it doesn't; I do not support versions that I don't personally play. You can pay me on my Patreon up to the 2nd tier (~10 USD) if you want me to compile for your version.
Q: Does this work with (insert other mod name here)? A: I don't know. Try it out and see if it does.
Q: The mod is crashing at startup saying "Cannot load: Modules/Homesteads.dll", what do I do? A: Unblock your .dll file by going into the mods folder, "Homesteads", inside of the Modules folder. Then go into bin -> Win64_Shipping_Client and inside you should see Homesteads.dll. Right click the .dll file and you should see an option to unblock it at the bottom. Tick the unblock box and press Apply. Try to launch the game now. If it still isn't working; leave a post here *specifically* stating that you have done these steps or I will not respond.
For Windows 11 (thanks British Turk!); Go into Homesteads Folder > bin > next folder > right click .dll file > go into properties > unblock is a small box on the box that loads up from clicking properties {same tab)
Alternatively; download and install BLSE, which will automatically unblock your dll files for you!
Q: How do I use the homestead builder to place down buildings/objects? A: Press P when you "Walk around" your homestead and you should be able to see a highlighted building/object. Press { and } to cycle placeable objects. Info about the object will appear at the bottom left of the screen (temporary UI). Press the number keys at the top; 1-2 3-4 5-6, to rotate the object. When you are satisfied with the placement, press Q to place it. You just placed your first homestead building! Additionally, you can press O while in edit mode to set the location that you'd like to spawn at! These keybinds can be changed in the homestead MCM config menu.
Q: I can't make my keybind work, what am I doing wrong? A: Refer to this for keybinds: https://pastebin.com/JGKUmJUb Note: You only need to use what's on the left of the equals sign for each element. So, "Numpad1" is 1 on the numpad. "Escape" is the escape button. etc
Q: What does productivity and leisure do? A: They balance each other out. Inside of your homestead, buildings can produce either or both. When productivity is greater than leisure, your homestead may generate money, but it will lose morale. If your homestead has more leisure than productivity, you will lose money, but you will gain morale.
Q: My homestead's troop count is only 1! What do I do? Is this a bug? A: No. Place down some tents to generate Space. Space will give you... extra space! For every point in extra space you have, you expand your maximum troop count by 1.
Q: How do I upgrade my homestead's tier? A: The tier will automatically upgrade over time. The more troops you have in your settlement, the faster it will upgrade.
Q: The options for buildings/objects to place are very lacking. Are there plans for more? A: Yes! Absolutely! I have even included a system to make it easy for modders that don't work with code to add their own placeables! A video tutorial can be found here!
Q: Can I upgrade my homestead to a town/castle/village? A: Not in the sense that they will appear on the map like normal settlements do. Homesteads can never become "actual" settlements. Settlements are tied down to some hardcoded kinds of stuff. Making homesteads into fully functioning game settlements is impossible. If it is possible, it would likely come with tons of compatibility issues and bugs.
Q: Some buildings I have placed aren't producing items, what do I do? A: Did you place the buildings down in an older version? (V2 - V2.2) If so, remove those buildings and place them again. V2.3 updated the production system in place and this required some updating weirdness. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I'll duplicate the question in this thread as well: Has anyone managed to add new objects to the mod according to the instructions of "Windwhistle"? Please post the code. First of all, we need a working gate to organize the fortress.
hi i know you won't see this but its keeps making me leave the area for no reason and i tried moving to different places so do you know why that is happing
How to do you get build points? I have millions of dollars & tons of the materials needed but I can't build anything because it says I have 0 build points.
Still, I can't add more troops in my Homestead because I need more space, thus more tents but more building points... And it's been months since I created it...

The author of Fourberie has released a beta version that will pair along well with this mod if you're a bandit type. ;)
Installation Guide:
This mod's code is likely on my GitHub, if it's not, feel free to DM me if you'd like to update it to latest Bannerlord versions.
If you'd like to join me in my game development adventure, click here to go to Buncha Fools discord!
Currently, I am developing a casual, multiplayer shooter called Laserstorm! More information about it can be found on the discord.

Probably because it works for v1.2.9 as well
actually shadow released a more up to date version on his GitHub. I will be editing the stickied post with the link.so do you know why that is happing
Refer to the FAQ for how to upgrade your tier. The tutorial is also very thorough, just not pretty to look at.
And it's been months since I created it...
