I am writing to bring attention to " Party Screen Enhancements" mod that has sadly been discontinued by its original creator. However, the mod author has graciously made the mod open source and has invited anyone to update and maintain it.
The mod in question has been an essential part of Bannerlord experience, and I know that many others in the community feel the same way. Therefore, I am reaching out to fellow modders to consider taking on the task of updating and improving this incredible mod.
If you are interested in taking on this task, the original mod author (hirtol) expressed in the reply that anyone wishes to update the mod themselves they're free to do so.
If you are a modder who has experience working with Bannerlord modding, I urge you to consider taking on this project. Not only will you be helping to improve the gaming experience for many, but you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the gaming community.
Lastly, thank you hirtol for your fantastic work here over the years. Your diligent efforts have made a significant impact on the community.
So even the current updated version of this mod, still causes a crash? I just recently came back to the game and was trying to update and figure out what works/doesn't work. Going one by one and this mod caused a crash as soon as I went to use it, even with the most updated version of the mod and game (not beta).
You dont need it on Workshop. You literally only have to download and unpack in a freaking folder. Steam does a grand total of zero to help you detect conflicts or allow for the mod creator to set a load order like this sites mod handler does, or one of the other mod handlers created for it.
then conveniently straight after the update on steam face mod conflicts with no way to downgrade said mod, Ill stick to nexus along with anyone else with a brain.
@Uthane123 Haha, you think its a "convenience" when Steam updates your mods? Vortex will tell you when a mod has been updated, and will update that mod for you, BUT only if and when you approve the update. Thus it won't break your game, like Steam does when you get no choice in the matter. SMH
There is NOTHING more frustrating than getting home from work, and firing up your current Bannerlord playthru, only to find that it won't load without crashing because Steam in their infinite wisdom, forced an update on you, totally ruining what had been a perfectly working modded game. EVERYONE just loves that! How convenient, your game is ruined without any effort on your part, and without you having a say in the matter. Your perfectly working game, no longer works......but at least the way it was broken was totally convenient.
The sort button needs to be moved a little. The settings button for sorting crashes the game, so I never touch that anymore. I just use the default sorting. It's not perfect, but this mod is still 1000% better than the game's built-in party interface.
I'm still using an older version of Bannerlord because of a handful of must-have mods that no longer work with the latest releases. This is one of them. I've tried playing without this but sadly it spoiled me over the years.
