Updated for 1.2.8 - Fixed crashes for latest version of the Bannerlord. - Changed cheer logic to make it sound more natural. Now they don't shout at the same time like robots but rather shout a little bit randomly. This sounds both more natural and creates more real-life like battle noise. - Added more animations to cheer, such as hitting shield and challenging your opponent. These animations are from Multiplayer taunts that you normally have to pay. - Removed old unoptimized code, now everything should work more smoothly. Note that this still uses animations and/or checks locations. If your CPU is a bottleneck, it's advised to turn off shouting since sound processing can cause FPS drops.
If you are using any launcher, this can be the reason. Use normal Bannerlord Launcher once and load the game with Vexillum (you don't even have to select your other mods, just select native modules + vexillum) and once you see main menu, exit the game. Then use whatever the launcher you are using, then vexillium banners should be used. I'll fix this issue in the next update, should be easy
Torch carriers are also banner carriers in the mod, if you are asking to increase both, just decrease the number for per formation. i.e. "PerInfantry": 1 means for every one person in infantry formation, you will have another banner carrier (ie you will double the size of the army and half of it will be torch carrier)
I assume this also works on 1.2.7, but i have few questions about stuff that is not clear for me:
{ "Banner": { "AllowSiegeAttackers": true, <--------------- I assume this means who can carry banners? siege defenders and raid defenders cannot? "AllowSiegeDefenders": false, "AllowRaidAttackers": true, "AllowRaidDefenders": false, "AllowInHideout": false, "AllowMoraleBoostWhenBannermenReachWalls": true, <--------------- How much is the boost and can it be reduced or? "AllowBannermenReachedMessageAndSound": true, "UseRealTroopSystem": false, "GiveSwordToHand": true, <--------------- what is this? "MoraleRadius": 5, "MoraleDropWhenBannermanKilled": 10, "MaximumMoraleWhenAroundAllyBannerman": 90, <------- what if i make this 30? Does that mean morale will be 30 even though vanilla can be 80? How to disable it? Is it 0 or false? "CarrierTroopCost": 50, "PerInfantry": 15, <--------------- what is this? is this the carrier troop one that is optional? "PerCavalry": 20, "PerArcher": 15, "PerHorseArcher": 20, "PerHeavyCavalry": 20, "PerHeavyInfantry": 15, "PerSkirmisher": 15, "PerLightCavalry": 20 }, "Extra": { "UseTierBasedBannerman": true, "AlsoUseTorchAtNight": true, "AllowNonNobleArmiesToCarryBanner": false, "UseResponsiveUnits": true, <--------------- i assume this are all voices? I use immersive battlefields will this conflict with that? "AllowSoldierAmbianceSounds": true, <-------- what kind of ambiance sounds? "AllowWarCryAnimation": true, "DontUseGonfalon": false, <--------------- what is this? "AllowHorns": true <------ when is this activated } }
And also, this is for AI too? So if i want just the banners i need to disable the morale thing? And can the banners be reduced i see from images there are a lot of banners like how many banners would be in say 60 man infantry squad?
1 - Yes 2 - Read the description, 3 - Gives sword to banner carriers. If it's turned off, they only carry banners. 4 - Read the description. This means they will get bonus only if they are 30 or below5 - One banner carrier per X person. So in here it means 1 banner carrier per 15 infantry. 6 - Read the description. I don't know how immersive battlefields work, try and see it yourself7 - Soldiers shout to each other if they are around banner carrier. This effect gets multiplied by the game and sounds like a big crowd is coming ahead 8 - Read the description 9 - When orders are given 10 - This is for AI too? Yes 11 - So if i want just the banners i need to disable the morale thing? Set morale drop to 0 so that no drop will happen. Turn off all sound/animation features.
Wow thank you for the answers! I am still confused about the ""MaximumMoraleWhenAroundAllyBannerman": 90,", if i set it to 0 what happens, at 90 they get morale boost all the time if they fall bellow 90? Because in description you typed:
Every banner carrier has a certain radius which effects the morale of the troops around. This check happens in every 5 seconds, and it's limited to a certain morale limit. ( Example, in every 5 seconds, it checks troops around the radius and boosts morale by +10 if troop morale is below 40 ) And all these can be changed via Config.json But i don't see the number 40 anywhere hence my confusionOh also i do not see a msg when banner reaches wall, no idea why
I don't know about others, but it makes me nervous that wars are too often, almost always yelled at. Is it possible to remove this wolf howl during battle?
Option to disable cheering is this config key AllowSoldierAmbianceSounds It should be false, and they won't yell again. But disabling this will also remove chaotic army effect and two armies will march to each other like true gentlemen without any sound, as Bannerlord devs intended. Just fyi, when its true they also don't yell when they are too close to an enemy. This only makes them yell when they are distant apart.
"But disabling this will also remove chaotic army effect and two armies will march to each other like true gentlemen without any sound, as Bannerlord devs intended. " So does disabling this makes it like vanilla or it messes some vanilla things also?
