Help me how to install autoblock, where to throw files? I throw the autoblock folder in the modules, but in the launcher it does not appear as a mod, am I doing something wrong?
I dont think it fully work on e1.0.11, sometime work and sometime just holding the weapon in 1 position only when defend.. (Usually on 2nd hand spear or sword).
Yeah, I don't think you are supposed to get 100% block efficiency.
With my 2h I block maybe 70% of the time in actual combat closer to 90% when 1v1 a dumb AI.
If I recall AI proficiency with weapons is based on their actual skill in the weapon branch. So they become more relentless and use complex moves the higher their levels... feints, parry and weapon counter.
What would be nice is if there were a auto attacking mod to the same vein as this - one that aimed to make 1v1 fights as theatrical as possible. But this mod solves one of my big gripes with bannerlord... that I spent WAY too much time on combat to enjoy the game much less the combat.
Hi, testing it in quickbattle it seems to work just fine if I'm the attacker side, but it doesn't work if I am defender side. As a defending army, it just stays in low block and doesn't respond to the enemy and I die
Since the new version blocking vs multi attacks is now utterly impossible if their are bowmen.
I suspect it comes down to the element where you made the behavior be able to block bowmen but the practical effect is that against looters/foresters for example block does nothing and u are crushed.
That will be changed in the upcoming version, which will also include proximity block. I do not have time right now, so expect the update by the end of the week.
There's this odd behavior that, when I have the mod enabled and I go into combat, I can't hit enemies. They block up, left, and right directional attacks, and the only ones that actually land are thrusts.
Every single attack that isn't a thrust is like my character is attacking a wall and my weapon bounces off whoever I'm attack, regardless of whether they're standing still, blocking, or in the middle of attacking, or moving, or any combination of those few.
When I disable it, I can attack normally and deal damage just fine without my weapon deflecting at all.
I wanted to try this mod as I read here about the CPU usage issue with the other one but this one is crashing the game on launch. The sub folder in the module has a bunch of DLLs, are those all necessary? As far as I can tell, I don't have that security feature for DLLs enabled so nothing is blocking it.
Do any of you have systems without admin privileges, or limited user privileges? I have a suspicion that it might be related to the config file not being read correctly or not being found. Can you try to delete the config file and tell me whether it is recreated after starting the game? Thanks
Also crashing on startup with 1.1. Disabling this mod fixes the crash. I am not using any of the other mods in the list above. At first, I thought it was an improperly setup SubModule.xml file in this mod, but I edited it to apply a fix I've seen elsewhere and that wasn't it.
To answer the question Sapling asked, I deleted the config file (actually just moved it to the desktop), and no, running the game did not recreate one. It still crashes at the initial loading screen. Also, tried running the launcher and game as an administrator, and still crashed.
#This is a configuration file for AutoBlocker #assistType=0 - Automatic blocking. While holding your defense button the defense stance will be automatically adjusted #assistType=1 - Warband like blocking. Pressing the defense button right before the enemy hits you is requried to block successfuly #blockButton=<DefenseButton> - Where defense button is a button you would like to bind defending to. Bindings can be found in Button list.txt assistType=0blockButton=RightMouseButton
.... there needs to be a line break between assistType and blockButton.
As soon as I put a break there it stopped crashing.
Wow. Wordpad sure made it look like there was a line break there, but backspacing and manually adding a line break between the assistType and blockButton lines fixed it for me as well. Thanks!
@ellyheartfilia That is very interesting. When I download the mod and checked the file, the line break seems to be there. Also in case the file is corrupted it should be recreated when you move it / delete it, but for some reason it fails. I will make an update see if it fixes the issue.
EDIT: Rolled out version 1.2 Should fix start up crashes related to the config file.

Installed mods:
AlwaysKeepHorsesAndFood
Autoblocker Enhanced
Crafting_pieces.xml
FastDialogue
Intro Remover
Rebalanced Ranged Weapons
TimeFixer
WarbandCasualtyLog
We have these mods in common
Autoblocker Enhanced
FastDialogue
Intro Remover
TimeFixer
If the issue still persists I will look into the mods the others have reported.

Your default config file looks like this:
#This is a configuration file for AutoBlocker
#assistType=0 - Automatic blocking. While holding your defense button the defense stance will be automatically adjusted
#assistType=1 - Warband like blocking. Pressing the defense button right before the enemy hits you is requried to block successfuly
#blockButton=<DefenseButton> - Where defense button is a button you would like to bind defending to. Bindings can be found in Button list.txt
assistType=0blockButton=RightMouseButton
.... there needs to be a line break between assistType and blockButton.
