About this mod
Small house for purchase in Seyda Neen with a bit of quest reactivity for vanilla quests.
- Requirements
- Permissions and credits
How to get: buy it from Socucius Ergalla. But you need to unlock the quest topic first by speaking about specific place with any NPC in Seyda Neen exterior.
Price: 3000 plus 400 for a caretaker.
Characteristics:
- One main room, an attic, and a small basement.
- Fully cluttered.
- Two sleeping places.
- Correspondence box - check it between your Vvardenfell adventures and you may find a letter or two from some NPCs.
Caretakers
After buying a house, you can hire one of the following people as a caretaker for your house - Eldafire, Fargoth, Indrele Rathryon. This idea is based on vanilla commoners' my trade dialogue. They clean your house off-screen and collect your mail for you. Speak to your caretaker to finish the house quest.
How does the mail box work
When you hire a caretaker, a small chest appears in your house near the window. You may want to check this chest once in a while between your adventures on Vvardenfell. Some people may send you a grateful letter, or a small present. All letters are positive, so don't expect death threats. At the moment, it adds only 8 letters. But I may expand this system in future.
Door
The exterior door will be locked every time you leave the house through the door. So, it's best to carry your house key with you.
Quests that send you a letter upon completion (Spoilers)
- A Man and His Guar - check out my other mod that adds a house for these guys.
- An Escort to Molag Mar
- The Silver Bowl
- Kidnapped by Cultists
- Larrius Varro Tells a Little Story - the letter gets sent when you ask a citizen in the exterior of Balmora about little secret (it's the only instance when I tweaked the topic filtering).
- Mages Guild: Stolen Reports
- Fighters Guild: Egg Poachers
- Thieves Guild: Free New-Shoes Bragor
Compatible with
- Seyda Neen - Damp Little Squat by Lucevar.
- Beautiful Cities of Morrowind by RandomPal.
Changelog
- Version 1.01 - cleaned the edits to neighboring houses; removed ground texture edits; moved the eastern window up (outside and inside); moved ladder to the northern wall; added a stool near the wardrobe.
