About this mod

A combined vampire overhaul based on a tweaked Devilish Vampire Overhaul (feeding), Age of Vampire (aging) and Mortal's Mask (disquise) mods.

Aging mechanic to reward longer vampire playthroughs
Feeding mechanic with hunger
Mortal's Mask spell to allow NPC interaction by changing your appearance to human, and three other methods of disguise
Most random attribute and skill bonuses replaced with more unique abilities. Clan specials still reflect their dialogue descriptions

Vampire age mechanic

Based on level you've been a vampire, starting from 0 when you contracted Porphyric Hemophilia
Scaled abilities based on age

Feeding mechanic

Need to feed
Can feed on human corpses and some creatures like rats (customizable through lua file)
Can extract Flasks of Blood to carry (up to 3)
Activated by sneaking and must also be hidden



Vanilla v Better Vampires




Tamriel Data v Better Vampires

Order clan has their own disguise spell that toggles vampirism
Baluath clan doesn't take sun damage in ash storm (excluding hunger)
Namira's Shroud robe hides vampirism and removes sun damage (excluding hunger), but also removes most vampire abilities




Differences to Devilish Vampire Overhaul


No dialogue edits
To feed you must be hidden
9 stages of hunger streamlined to 4 stages of hunger
NPC's don't aggro until talked to (without Mortal's Mask)
Mortal's Mask provides additional method of hiding vampirisim
Aging Mechanic

Compatibility

Tweaked Age of Vampire, Mortal's Mask and Devilish Vampire Overhaul mods included (don't use originals)
Of Melodies and Moonlight uses the same hide method as Devilish Vampire Overhaul so it's not compatible before a patch
Doesn't edit dialogue or scripts
Only edits vampire attributes, skills, clan specials, immunities vanilla spells, and changes how vampire sun damage spell works
OpenMW 0.49 only (tested on rc3)

Detect Life ability (once OpenMW allows custom effects)
Scaled fall damage (once OpenMW allows modifying gmst's)
