About this mod

Now NPCs won't just make nasty comments about your clothes, they will actually like you less.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
Morrowind has always had NPCs judge your outfit based on its value, but in the vanilla game it was completely inconsequential, it didn't affect anything. Now there is actually a point in being well dressed, NPCs will be more receptive to you and more willing to share information if you look like you can afford a decent outfit.

Lowers your personality based on the total gold value of what your character is wearing.

<= 0 gold (naked)... -30 personality (does not affect Crassius Curio)
<= 15 gold... -25 personality
< 40 gold... -15 personality
<= 150 gold... -10 personality
<= 250 gold... -5 personality
>250 gold... no change

I find this to be a very immersive way to make the game less welcoming when you're first starting out.

This is all done with vanilla script so should be compatible with OpenMW. It does mean it is not the most elegant solution (the personality debuff is visible which I don't like, I'd rather it happened behind the scenes. And it won't update when you change clothes until you leave menu mode) But thanks to lelimule, at least one major issue with it has been resolved since version 2, which was published first here: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/55766?tab=description

Despite what the screenshot I took for this mod page might suggest, you are no more likely to hear those kinds of voice lines with this mod.
