Vampire Moka
________________________________
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Requirements:

Morrowind
Tribunal
Bloodmoon
MWSE

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Installtion:

Put all files and folders into your morrowind data files folder if your asked to overwrite
the folders then do so. When you start up your morrowind click the datafiles button and scroll down
until you find the one you like and then double click the checkbox next to it to activate the mod.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Description:

This mod adds a new companion to morrowind, Moka Akashiya, who is based off the
Rosario + Vampire series, she can be found at the Balmora Eight Plates.

Moka has all the basic features of a companion as well as some very interesting and unqiue
abilities such as---

-She can transform from a suppressed vampire into a super vampire!
(Animation and original sound effects included!)

-She doesn't have sun damage, but water damage

-You can make herbal water potions with her mortar & pestle to make her immune to
the effects of water for a short time (She can take only 3 of these potions a day
though)

-You can strengthen her by giving her blood (just remember to keep her fed)

-If her blood level is at least 1 or greater she will give you some of her vampire
blood when your health is 33% or lower which gives you bonuses as well as healing
you (however she won't be able to heal you again for 60 seconds), but if her blood
level is zero she can only heal you (but she can heal you continuosly)

-Can set her weapon preference

-Can set her armor preference (with some strings attached, see below)

-She makes random comments when changing cells (25% chance of getting a comment)

-She will cure the player of poison, paralysis, disease or damaged attributes

-She automatically casts spells to cure herself of disease or damaged attributes
(When not in combat)

-Level ups when the player does

-Has a topic that displays all stats (including Level and Blood Level)

-Her stats can be fixed if their out of whack with the sync stats topic

-Can levitate/Go invisible/Sneak/Waterwalk with the player

-Has a ring that gives you a spell to teleport her to you or dismiss her when
its in your inventory. Which can also be used to activate smart following, which
means she will always teleport to/with you ABSOLUTELY anywhere

1) First off, Moka is in her passive form when you first find her, the rosary she wears keeps her
vampire self and power surpressed but not all of it. However if you remove her rosary she
will transform into her vampire self (An a animation with sound effects is used for the
transformation). Making her stronger, more resistant and agile. First though you have to become
her friend, when you first meet her all you have to do is just be nice and offer to help her. If
at any time you no longer want her to be your companion just click on the friends topic in her
dialouge and choose "I think we should go our separate ways."

To get her to follow you just click the travel together topic.

To Remove her rosary you can manually remove it with companion share or you can use the spell
your given when you become her friend to automatically remove it or give it back. The spell is
called -Add/Remove Moka's Rosario.

After you give her back her rosary she'll change back to Normal Moka but she will be unable to
transform again for 24 hours. Also she can stay in either form for as long as you want.

Also each Moka gives you a special bonus, Normal Moka gives you her charm which fortifies your
personality, speechcraft, and mercantile, but you only get this bonus when she's following
you. Vampire Moka gives you her dreadfulness which fortifies your willpower but drains your
personality, speechcraft, and mercantile and you get this ability whenever she is in her vampire
form, she doesn't have to be following you to get this ability (People don't like people who
travel with vampires, plus word spreads around). Also while Moka is in her vampire form you will
not be able to talk to npcs when she is within their sight instead you'll be greeted with this
message "Your traveling with that vampire aren't you!? I'll have no business with you." However
you can work around that by hiding her around the corner by telling her to wait there and then
you can go talk to whoever you want to. This is just one way I've tried to balance out the
usefulness of each Moka.

*On a side note you can only remove her collar once the rosary is taken off as it part of
her seal, and you can only return her rosary if she has her collar on. More on that later
in the armor style section.

Here is a chart to show you what stats each Moka has.

2) Moka's Stats, Sync Stats, Armor and Combat Styles

---Moka's Stats---

The -Moka's Stats topic will show you all of her attributes, skills, current/max health, fatigue,
and magicka, you may have to scroll up after first picking the topic. Plus it will also show you
her level and blood level (more on this later).

---Moka's Sync Stats---

The sync stats topic is pretty much a level up on demand button (well more like level to
the player button). It can be used whenever you wish but its purpose is to make it easy to fix
Moka's stats if she levels up when your diseased or your stats are damaged (as her stats are
based off of your's). So just cure yourself of the disease or restore your attributes and sync
her stats to fix them. This way her stats can be easily fixed if they get out of whack like this.
It can also be used to adjust her stats whenever changing her armor or combat styles, but the
scripts should do that automatically, this is just a backup.

However if you give her armor or clothes with constant effect enchantments remember to remove
them when she levels up and run the sync stats script through the sync stats topic and then give
the items back to her (you need to do this in this situation so her stats are correct, with the
added enchantments).

---Armor Styles---

You can set what type of armor you want Moka to wear (or unarmored) through the -Moka's Armor
Style topic. However she won't be able to make use of whatever armor you set her to use until you
first transform her into her vampire self by removing her rosary and remove her collar after.

---IMPORTANT PLEASE READ!!!---

***The rosary and collar work together to create a magical seal that hides her vampiric nature away
so she can blend into the crowd. That's the lore explanation anyway, the technical reason is that
the only way I could get her rosary and collar to render on her required me to make the rosary
use the right glove slot and the collar use the left glove slot. Unfortunately anything using the
amulet, ring, or belt slots are not able to render onto the player/npc model, which is why I used
the glove slots instead. Since her rosary and collar are an integral part of her character I wanted
to make sure they are always rendered. Which is why I had to make the "magical seal" and "wardrobe"
items to fill every other slot in her inventory to prevent anything from hiding her rosary and
collar. Hence the reason I've scripted it so you can only change her outfit after her rosary and
collar are removed.***

Once you remove her rosary you can remove her collar either through the
companion share menu or select the -Moka's Armor Style topic. Moka will ask you if you want to
change her outfit, if you say yes she'll hand you her outfit and equip some clothes more
appropriate for the Morrowind setting. Now you are free to change her outfit as you see fit.
And also set her preffered armor type, which works by setting her armor type stat that you want to
its current level and reducing the others to 1. EXAMPLE: by deafult heavy, medium, light and
unarmored are at level 41, if you set her to use medium armor, her medium armor skill will be 41
and heavy, light, and unarmored will be 1. If you set her armor style to "Do as you like," all her
armor stats will be set back to 41.

If you change her outfit, but then want to change her back to the other Moka, you must return
her collar. Which she will then check to see if you have her outfit, if you don't you'll lose 15
disposition with her, but she'll pull a spare outfit outta thin air. If you find the set you lost
you'll regain 5 disposition with her.

---Combat Styles---

With the -Moka's Combat Styles topic you can set what weapon type you want Moka to use, provided
she currently has that weapon in her inventory. Otherwise she will default to *hand-to-hand* until
she has her set weapon type. By deafult she is set to "Do as you like," which means she'll use the
best weapon in her inventory. All her weapon skills start at 41 and when you set her weapon type
it'll set that skill to its current level while reducing the others to 1. EXAMPLE: by deafult
all her weapon skills are at level 41, if you set her to use axes, her axe skill will be 41
and all other skills will be set to 1. If you set her combat style to "Do as you like," all her
weapon skills will be set back to 41.

*Hand-to-Hand* works like this, if her script detects she is fighting H2H she will automatically
be given an invisible dagger to use (This is to simulate H2H damage) and an invisible shield to
block with (its AR is 0). I did this so it appears she is fighting with her hands (when shes
really not. If she is in her suppressed form she will equip an invisble dagger that does average
damage, but if she is in her vampire form it will do excellent damage). However this simulated
H2H isn't limited to this combat style, if she is detected using H2H while in any other combat
type the H2H supersedes the style that was currently being used but after the combats over
her style will go back to what you last set it as.

Moka's Fist

Suppressed Moka Vampire Moka
--------------- ------------
Chop 1-25 1-65
Slash 1-15 1-55
Thrust 1-35 1-75

If she is detected using any weapon other than her set combat style that weapon style supersedes
the style that was currently being used but after the fighting is over her style will go back to what
you last set it as.

For example if she was using an axe with combat style set to axe, but that axe breaks and she then
switches to a spear her axe skill at 41 will be set to 1 and her spear skill will be set to 41. After
combat is over spear will be set to 1 and axe will be set back to 41.

Ranged causes Moka to use any marksman items in her inventory plus her invisble shield (her
hand) if she currnetly does not have one equipped. If she runs out of ammo or her weapon breaks
and she starts to fight H2H she will be stuck with using H2H cause there is a bug with the
game engine where the game does not realize that she has run out of arrows and started to fight
H2H, as the game still thinks she's using a bow. If this happens cast the -Moka Stance Fix
spell to fix her combat style (it can also be used to calm her if you accidentally hit her too
many times).

**And Lastly there is KOTV, Kiss of the vampire, a spell that Moka has that absorbs health.
However she can only use this spell once every 20 seconds (as it is quite powerful). I made
it like this so she isn't spamming it. But she can only use this spell when she isn't in the
ranged combat mode (cause if she could use it then she would run up and cast the spell rather
than stay at a distance).

KOTV - Absorb Health 3 secs Mag. 10-30 (On touch)

3) Feeding and Blood Level

Before you can feed Moka your blood you must ask her about the topic "vampiric needs," once you
do it'll unlock the blood topic.

You must feed her at least 80% of your max health every 48 hours (which is 2 large drink
or 4 small) otherwise her disposition will go down by 10 points. For every small drink
you lose 20% health, raise her disposition by 4 points, and raise the bloodcount by 1. For every
large drink you lose 40% health, raise her disposition by 10 points and raise the bloodcount by 2.

For Moka to increase in blood level her bloodcount has to go up by 4. She has a total of 3 blood
levels. Once she gains a blood level you will to have to increase the bloodcount by 4 every
2 days or her blood level will drop by 1. So you have to feed her 80% of your max health
every 48 hours for her to keep her blood level.

She will remind you to feed her every 24 hours and at 48 hours without feeding her she will be
upset with you resulting in -10 disposition.

Here are the Bonuses She Gets for each blood level.

however that only works once every 2 days.

your health is 33% or lower which gives you bonuses as well as healing you (however she won't
be able to heal you again for 60 seconds and she will drop 1 blood level), but if her blood

4) Water Damage/Herbal Water Potions

Yes Moka does not take sun damage but she does take water damage. Now what that means is when
ever its raining or she steps in water, the water damage script kicks in. At first she will only
take fatigue damage (She'll tell you when she's being affected by the water) but when her
fatigue reaches zero she starts to take health damage, and will continue to take both fatigue
and health damage until she gets out of the rain or steps out of the water whichever the case
may be (She'll also tell you when she begins losing health from the water). Also her disposition
will go down by 10 points when ever she is exposed to water, but only once until she is no
longer exposed to the water and is exposed to it again, or she begins taking health damage from
the water.

Now there are 4 different water damages one for the rain, one for stepping in water, and both
of Moka's forms are affected differently by each rain and water.

The suppressed Moka takes double the water damage that her super vampire form does, plus when
her fatigue reaches zero she will faint. When she faints she will fall to the ground and be
unable to move. Now when this happens you can use a pickme up to help her back to her feet or
give her a herbal water potion if you have one (more on these later). Also You can turn her into
her vampire form which will give her her strength back and time to get her to shelter.

Plus she will automatically drink a herbal water potion if there are any in her inventory
and if she hasn't gone over her limit, but only when she's in her suppressd form.

The super vampire Moka takes half the damage that the suppressed Moka does, however she does
not faint when her fatigue reaches zero and she refuses to drink herbal water potions (Her pride
doesn't allow her to accept help from anyone).

Here is the damage they take from water.

--------------- ------------
Rain Damage
-----------
Fatigue Damage 30 Fatigue Damage 15
Health Damage 8 Health Damage 8
Water Damage
------------
Fatigue Damage 60 Fatigue Damage 30
Health Damage 16 Health Damage 16

The Pickme Up System:
What this does is it allows the player to give a hand to Moka when she faints (the
suppressed one). In order to do so the player must press the spacebar to "activate her"
upon doing so Moka's fatigue will be restored, which would give you more time to get
her to shelter. However you can only use 2 pickme ups every 24 hours. But be wary, if you
transform her from her vampire form to her suppressed form in the water or in the rain
you'll be sacrificing one of her pickme ups.

Herbal Water Potions:
These potions are created by using Moka's mortar and pestle which can be found in her
inventory. The ingredients that are used to make these potions are fire petals and
bittergreen petals. Once you have these, either set her mortar on the ground and activate
it or equip it in your inventory to start the potion making process.

Whether or not you actually make a potion though is based on your alchemy skill. Plus if
you do make one it will increase your alchemy skill by 0.1.

Now what it does. The potion makes Moka completely immune to the effects of water for 1
minute (She can even go swimming if she drinks one). However she can only drink 3 herbal
water potions every 24 hours, plus she can only drink them if she is in her suppressed form.
Her vampire form is too stubborn and prideful to rely on them.

She will automatically drink a herbal water potion if there are any in her inventory
and if she hasn't gone over her limit.

Weather Identification:
There are 2 ways you can tell what the weather is whether your outside or inside. First
you can just ask Moka what the weather is or she can teach you a spell that when cast will
tell you what the weather is. **However there is a slight bug with this when your inside
an interior cell, the weather outside may be changing but the weather will still be what it
was when you first entered the interior cell as told by the console or Moka or the weather
spell, but when you go outside the weather will actually be different.

Interior Cells that act like Exterior Cells:
The scripts for the weather rain damage will only work with these kind of cells when
Mournhold is where Moka is at. However any mod added cells of this kind will not work as
intended with the rain damage.

5) Moka's Ring of Teleportation

Moka has ring of teleportation in her inventory. When its in the player's inventory the player is
given the spell -Moka's Ring of Teleportation. When that spell is cast you can dismiss Moka if she
is currently following you to any of these locations:

Balmora, Eight Plates
Ald-Ruhn, The Rat In The Pot
Vivec, Black Shalk Cornerclub
Sadrith Mora, Fara's Hole In The Wall
Dagon Fel, The End Of The World
Fort Frostmoth, Imperial Cult Shrine
Mournhold, The Winged Guar

Or if she isn't following you, you can summon her to your current location. Special effects included.

You can also activate "Smart Following" which means Moka will be warped to you no matter where you
are or your method of transportation, including console commands, script functions, or Intervention
spells. So with Smart Following active you should never lose her.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Addtional Notes/Bugs
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Moka uses a new race which is just a modified version of the Breton Race. I had to make
a new race for her so her vampire face would be the one I wanted it to be rather than
the Breton vampire face

2. There is bug with the game engine when it comes to weather. For example Lets say it was
just raining but the weather changed to sunny skies, visually it takes the game about a
minute for the change to be completed but technically it takes about 3 minutes. So even
though it appears its not raining the game still thinks it is, just wait a minute or 2
and it'll go back to normal.

2.B Also there is only 1 circumstance when the "step in water" water damage doesn't work
correctly, however this is rare and unlikely that you'll run in to it, but this is
more of a exploit than a bug cause it only happens in interiors and if you cast
levitate before you step in the water cause the script must first identify that there
is water in the cell by detecting the "in water sounds" (like footsteps in water, etc.)
however if you levitate in the water those sounds are never played. So I just ask that
you don't abuse this exploit, it kinda ruins the whole water damage thing. But let
me say this again this only happens in interiors.

3. Her collar and rosario use the left and right glove slots so she can't wear any gloves
or gauntlets, cause she is forced to keep her collar and rosary equipped. Unless you
remove them after she transforms into her vampire form.

5. Plus even though the collar uses a glove slot its attached to the right shoulder, so if
she wears a right pauldron her collar will disappear visually but still be in her
inventory and equipped.

6. VE - Vampire Embrace, you should not embrace Moka as I can assure you it will screw up
her scripting. However you may be able to make her your thrall, but only try this at
your own risk.

7. Just a recommendation, try using Kirel's Interior weather with this mod as it makes it
easy to tell what the weather is like outside.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Version Changes

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Version 3.0 Changes (2024) -

Added ability to set her armor preference, must remove both her rosary and collar
first. Fixed her "kiss of the vampire spell" so she only uses it about every 20
seconds and no longer gets stuck switching between spell and weapon. Fixed multiple
inventory bugs related to her rosary, collar and clothes. Fixed her voiced dialouge
for her vampire form so they actually play now, as well as the voiced idle lines.
Got rid of her lantern as it was conflicting with her combat styles.

Version 2.0 Changes (2014-2016) -

No longer requires MCA
Now requires MWSE

Nearly all scripts were remade from the ground up, too many changes to list.
Made a rosary and outfit to match her appearance in the anime. Expanded the ability
to set her weapon preference. Fixed numerous bugs, so, so many bugs.
Expanded some of her dialouge responses. Improved her leveling script. Added a Ring
to teleport her to you or dismiss her.

Version 1.4 Changes (2009) -

Fixed a bug that prevented all vanilla npcs from following the player in the
non-MCA versions (the versions that do require MCA never had this problem, just to
clarify)

Version 1.3 Changes (2009) -

Just changed the names and phrases to avoid any possible legal issues.
(2024 - this really isn't an issue, just thought it was back then)

*NOTE* this only changes the names so if you have version 1.2 already you don't
need to download it again.

Version 1.25 Changes (2009) -

Added in the missing sound files for her vampire form and updated the readme (by
describing the esps better).

Version 1.2 Changes (2009) -

Created a version that does not require MCA.

Added in another comment so when she's starving she'll tell you about it.

Readded the sync stats topic to the MCA companions in the esps that require MCA but
don't enhance the MCA comapnions, this way you can still use the sync stats topic
to fix their stats if your using the mod "MCA Companions Enhanced."

Also added in addtopic "travel together" in the main script which I forgot to do
earlier, however most of you probably never had a problem with it.

Version 1.1 Changes (2009) -

Added in the new sound files for the transformations

Fixed a 34th variable bug in the main script

Reordered the position of the water weakness script to fix a small bug
