Was excited to try this, but sadly conflicts with my mod list. I'm using OpenMW's Extended Vanilla list and I don't even know where to start to track down what's causing the conflicts since nothing references Bal Isra specifically. The exteriors look beautiful, but the door of the interior of the main building is missing once inside and item's and npc's are misplaced. If anyone else is on Extended Vanilla or Total Overhaul for OpwnMW let me know if you have any ideas. I am trying to install this mod mid-play through, so maybe it's a "needs a fresh game" sort of situation. I'm not familiar with the risks of mid-game installs.
UPDATE EDIT
I tried this on a new game with my mod list, and it works perfectly. So if you find this mod and you are using OpenMW's new automodloader for Extended Vanilla (and maybe total overhaul, haven't tested), you can absolutely add this mod to the end of your mod list and it's perfect. It turns out it was an issue of trying this mid-way through my playthrough. I most likely loaded the cells when I was checking out the initial base, and after installing the mod in my active save it breaks everything.
UPDATE 2
I managed to get this working in my playthrough by loading an older save where I hadn't walked in to the initial stronghold.
I really like the layout of this new mod and I'm so excited I got it to work. With the mannequin mod it's really awesome to use the armory room to display all the armor I collect with the Tamriel Data armor sets. My only critique now is I bonk my head at the bottom of the stairs every time if I don't go through the arch perfectly in the middle.
For troubleshooting this, if anyone else finds themselves in my shoes, here's a list of super useful console commands:
Journal, "HR_Stronghold", 10 Journal, "HR_Stronghold", 100 Journal, "HR_Stronghold", 200 Journal, "HR_Stronghold", 300 Not sure if it's necessary to complete all the quests, but those are their completion codes. More info here.
set stronghold 6 Once you have a stronghold in your quest log, this code should work. You can set it to 1-6 to test all the stages instantly which is fun.
Lastly coc "Bal Isra"Teleports you to the stronghold. Saves you a walk/fly when testing.
Ever thought about making player housing mods? I'd love to have a convenient place to store my loot right in Ald'Ruhn or Balmora, rather than having to go to my manor.
Would there be issues if I installed this after having already started construction on my stronghold? I'm currently in the middle of the 3rd stage of it.
